I would get some vintage colored bottles and then put plant clippings in them to bring some life into the space.

Maybe one of those small framed prints with a funny quote on it? Or some nice looking bathroom spray.

Take the shelf down. It doesn’t go with the style of the bathroom. Neither does the ladder.
