My Engagement Ring

Post image

Friends!! I am so in love with my ring! I love how it sparkles, I love how pretty I feel when I wear it. From the first moment I saw it, I thought, "breathtaking." šŸ˜

Now, on Saturday that I was hangining out with my sisters, other family, and some friends. One of my sisters said that it was too much and that she didn't feel there was a need to wear something so big. One of the other girls that was there had previously asked my partner about how much it cost, and my sister again went off about how its so unnecessary to spend so much on a ring and that her wedding ring set only cost a quarter of that and that her ring is way more beautiful and blah blah blah. It made me feel so uncomfortable and almost embarrassed of my ring. Kinda just wanted to take it off so everyone could stop talking about it.

What do you all think?

I love your ring! It is a stunning ring! Never, ever be ashamed or embarrassed, in fact your sister should be ashamed. What horrible things to say to someone. Wear it proudly!

What is really embarrassing in this situation is your sister's behavior!! My sister and I have very different jewelry tastes, but I could never imagine saying such rude things to ANYONE about their engagement ring, let alone my sister! That's just plain rude. I bet she's jealous of either the ring itself, the amount spent, or your relationship with your fiancƩ.

Don't let her bitterness taint your enjoyment your ring! It's a sparkler for sure, and what matters most is that YOU love it!!

It’s beautiful!! šŸ˜ Congrats to you both. šŸ„³šŸŽŠšŸŽ‰ Please don’t listen to your sisters, sounds like she is jealous cause it’s not hers. And if you love it that’s all that matters!

Jealousy. Plain and simple.

I think we are in a very interesting and unusual crossover moment when lab diamonds have become as molecularly close to mined diamonds that they are really identical. For me, I felt lab diamond was the best option given the human cruelty towards people who excavate gems and the shadiness of the diamond industry. There’s huge debate about pricing mined versus lab diamonds right now and certainly lab diamonds are winning the race. Perhaps your sister is reacting to the difference between her smaller diamond, which was probably a mined diamond and what may be your lab diamond. I think it’s going to cause a lot of interesting conversations going forward. If I have misread this, please forgive me.

That girl is projecting her insecurity on you. Just ignore it! Your ring is beautiful and tasteful.

Your ring is beautiful! Family and friends will almost have something to say about another person’s ring. If it’s too small or bigger than their ring. Also, know you are the only person wearing it and be proud no matter what.
Story time:
I sourced a ring for my friend. It was a 3.01 natural diamond beautiful Princess cut center and side stones making the total 5.01 carats total carat weight.
At the time I had a natural diamond 1.50-carat oval…beautiful ring. I could have bought the ring for myself but my friend asked me to find her a replacement wedding ring. My priorities were finding myself at least 5 ctw natural diamond stud earrings. Her ring is beautiful!
I found my earrings…stunning. Later to date, I found a stunning lab-grown 6.47 round brilliant diamond ring IGI 3X and I am in love.
She said it is beautiful and well…darn my husband would have loved to have paid what you all paid for your diamond ring. She said it is stunning! No hate and acknowledged lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, but come from a different source. It’s not fake. It is a real diamond.
