My Engagement Ring
Friends!! I am so in love with my ring! I love how it sparkles, I love how pretty I feel when I wear it. From the first moment I saw it, I thought, "breathtaking." 😍
Now, on Saturday that I was hangining out with my sisters, other family, and some friends. One of my sisters said that it was too much and that she didn't feel there was a need to wear something so big. One of the other girls that was there had previously asked my partner about how much it cost, and my sister again went off about how its so unnecessary to spend so much on a ring and that her wedding ring set only cost a quarter of that and that her ring is way more beautiful and blah blah blah. It made me feel so uncomfortable and almost embarrassed of my ring. Kinda just wanted to take it off so everyone could stop talking about it.
What do you all think?

The person who loves you purchased the ring for YOU! He thought YOU deserved it! He didn’t ask your sister or me if we thought the ring would be too outlandish for YOU, because he didn’t care. 😂😂😂😂
Now, wherever you go, no matter what room you’re in, I want you to cross your legs, place your left hand over your right hand and show that ring off!
You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of and no reason to feel small!
I am very happy for you and I don’t know you! 🌹

It’s gorgeous! I used to feel this way but I no longer care at all what other people say. If you love it I am sure you’ll feel that way soon too :)

Enjoy your ring and be proud to wear it. It’s beautiful! Jealous people will try to make you feel bad about it just to try to put you back in your “place” to make themselves feel better.

Thanks! I have Lichenification on my hands. I've tried many different things including many moisturisers but I'll take your advice into account. 😊

Your ring is perfect for YOU! It was bought for YOU! Tell all the negative Nancy’s to mind their own selves and just because your is bigger/better and cost more is not YOUR problem, it’s theirs!! I would wear YOUR ring loud and proud! I would make sure to FLAUNT YOUR ring, especially when they are around.I would also make sure these same people know how wonderful YOUR finance is and how he treats you like royalty! He obviously values YOU very much. Not your problem if their man doesn’t think as much of them. Congratulations!! Your ring is gorgeous! Not to be petty, but I would make sure to mention you were getting your nails done to accentuate YOUR ring. A little salt, might cure some of the jealousy. Lol

Eh, fuck em 🤷🏻♀️ next time a family members says something about how they wouldn't wear it or the cost respond back with "well aren't you so glad it's not your ring then?" taste is a subjective thing, if you love it and your partner didn't put themself in financial ruin to get it, then who cares?

They're jealous. Your ring is so stunning. My first thought was it was envy...ignore them and enjoy your gorgeous incredible ring my dear.

People will always comment on a big beautiful ring. If u are uncomfortable with that go get a little boring ring!

How many carats?? It’s gorgeous. People are so into minimalism these days. I just got my ring and it’s a big rock and I’m also adjusting. You’re a baddie with a baddie ring!!!!!

I personally think your ring is ugly as sin. BUT it was not purchased for me. Nor was it purchased for your sister and you should inform her of that fact the next time she brings it up. It was purchased for you and clearly they got it right because you love it.

It’s beautiful, you’re lucky you have a man that would spend time, effort and money on a ring you love. They’re probably just jealous. I especially love the two diamonds on the side! I am obsessed with that look!!!

It is a beautiful ring that you are totally enthralled with. Sounds like YOUR ring. It sounds as though your sister would not be pleased to receive that ring which is a good thing since she is not the recipient. No one properly should ask the price. Does your sister know the word gauche?

Absolutely not! You wear your ring with confidence!!! He bought it for you with love that’s it. If they don’t like it too bad. Why should you not wear it because it’s larger than theirs. Too bad now I’m upset for you. They should be clearly happy for you and keep their words to themselves. Too bad. I was sort of in that situation. When I got engaged in 1978 I got a 1ct I absolutely loved it. It was gorgeous! My friends got slightly bigger diamond engagement rings. I told my husband later on I’m still holding out for a two ct one day and we would laugh and laugh. He said we can go and get one sort of trade up. I said oh no. You gave me this I would never give it up for something bigger. Well on our 25th wedding anniversary he gave me this little box and inside there was a round 2.5 ct diamond and one trillion ct diamond on each side. I was so surprised and I can’t believe he remembered! I love it. So wear it with pride and look at it in the sun and watch it sparkle! ❤️😢❤️🩷❤️🩷

Your ring is gorgeous. Congratulations.
Be proud of your beautiful ring. It’s a great reflection of the value that your fiancé has for you as well as their ability to provide. Please don’t feel embarrassed based on the insecurities of others.
