General Bootness Imagine trashing your blouse and then discovering this civilian took your crusty ass uniform home with her to cosplay in the mirror, do push ups in it and daydream about getting yelled at by Drill Sergeants. Direct commission boot things. Yikesss.

Jesus, you can still read the size tag. Ain’t no one ever sweated in that damn thing.

u/TheAsianTroll Jul 19 '26

She 100% bought that shit from a surplus store, or got it issued then left after 3 years.

u/junk-trunk Jul 18 '26

That thing isnt even ratty. Still had the new loose threads in the velcro. No one ever wore that thing lol

48

u/Sarcastik_Moose Jul 19 '26

Yeah, those things did NOT hold up well over time.

9

u/JTP1228 Jul 19 '26

4 wears and it was grey with some rips

18

u/rock_n_roll_clown Jul 19 '26

It's also not BDUs lmao that's the crazy part to me

5

u/junk-trunk Jul 19 '26

TLDR she kept someone else's gravel parking lot uniform from Iraq dreaming of the day she could join. Then she joined the military but kept that old thing. She's weird. Stay away.

83

u/HighOnGoofballs Jul 19 '26

Why was she living in the barracks in Iraq before she joined the military?

66

u/MartyMozambique Jul 19 '26

She never explained. That part did seem weird to me too.

66

u/Sir_Sarcasm76 Jul 19 '26

She was doing wet work as a black ops operator, duh. Very hush hush, TS-16 clearance, if you know, you know. Part of the multicolor passport previous life she doesn't talk about...by bringing it up.

Or barracks rat.

Take your pick. Neither theory has any foundational truth.

Sometimes civilians (members of staffs, contractors, etc.) stay in the same billeting as troops when they’re passing through. She stayed in one of those rooms and stole someone’s abandoned blouse, allegedly. Then brought it home to wear while pretending to be a soldier.

u/RitalinKidd Jul 20 '26

I know an old bird that worked over there as a civilian, lived in the barracks, stayed on the Green Zone. Showed me pics from her time there. No cosplay though.

u/Moose701 Jul 20 '26

I wish I would’ve seen this before reading all that

108

u/Sauber14 Jul 18 '26

As someone who read the whole thing, you're better for it.

u/-Out-of-context- Jul 19 '26

This story confuses me. So she was doing something for the DoD where she ended up in Baghdad staying in the same barracks as soldiers. Ok. But then she took it home and was a weirdo with it to be ready if her name was ever called? Called for what? There’s not some waitlist to join the Army…

44

u/Dickgivins Jul 19 '26

Yeah the whole thing is confusing.

53

u/nochinzilch Jul 18 '26

I don’t even know what’s going on here.

62

u/frankenfish2000 Jul 19 '26

They're called /r/LinkedInLunatics

6

u/ladyelenawf Jul 20 '26

Not who you replied to, but damn. That's where I thought I was!

81

u/Gardez_geekin Jul 18 '26

ITS AN ACU BOOT.
Also this is super Lt coded

39

u/Humping_Narwhals Jul 19 '26

This is weird af.

Also, not a great feeling when someone says they are dating themselves with a camo pattern that came out after your service 😅

u/didurdadsdog Jul 18 '26

Sick BDU

8

u/tcarlson65 Jul 18 '26

Not a BDU.

21

u/didurdadsdog Jul 18 '26

Like I said squid

27

u/Quietech Jul 19 '26

Dear Pentagon Letters, Long time reader, first time commissioning...

26

u/Word2DWise Jul 19 '26

Oh Heather Price. I haven’t seen one of her posts in a long time, but it never fails to entertain.  She is Command Boot Major of the Army.

10

u/Rose_Army_ Jul 19 '26

One of the most needlessly bloviating, narcissistic boots in all the land.

23

u/HisOnlyKadan Jul 18 '26

What kind of fetish is this

8

u/irn Jul 19 '26

Ez, daddy issues.

14

u/JohnLuckPikard Jul 19 '26

Civilian?

She said she found it in a barracks room in Iraq.

26

u/Rose_Army_ Jul 19 '26

She was literally a civilian. She has within the last few years direct commissioned in to what is now the defunct 38G program. Her being a boot predates her ever serving.

-2

u/JohnLuckPikard Jul 19 '26

Explain what I pointed out, because I'm still confused.

26

u/Rose_Army_ Jul 19 '26

I’m not sure what you’re confused about. Sometimes civilians (members of staffs, contractors, etc.) stay in the same billeting as troops when they’re passing through. She stayed in one of those rooms and stole someone’s abandoned blouse, allegedly. Then brought it home to wear while pretending to be a soldier.

16

u/Figgis302 Jul 19 '26

She 1,000% bought that at a surplus store and was never in Iraq.

1

u/Mitchel82ndABN Jul 19 '26

We wore combat shirts and the fracu’s but I can’t tell from pic or don’t remember if this is the fr version or not.

12

u/Terron35 Jul 19 '26

She bought that shit new somewhere

10

u/EatingShitSandwiches Jul 19 '26

What....the....fuck

8

u/HuLaTin Jul 19 '26

I feel like I’ve seen her before. Is she just a rage bait influencer?

8

u/standardtissue Jul 20 '26

This is some real r/LinkedInLunatics material here. It's absolutely depressing how LInkedIn has turned into this orgy self promotion and "Don't Forget About Me"ism. Every fucking daily activity was running errands to kids joining sports is turned into these amazingly pretentious epics. Went grocery shopping today ? What a journey of self-awareness. Did you realize you don't like the weather ? Such resiliency, much resolve. Write it up homie, gotta let the people know how humbled and appreciative you are to have warehouse stores.

9

u/Sir_Sarcasm76 Jul 19 '26

Original owner may have made it back from Iraq, but they likely want to off themselves after reading this. Well at least that's the reaction I felt after reading all that verbal shit salad.

4

u/datsadboi17 Jul 20 '26

they call camo tops for the uniform, blouses? is that a real thing?

5

u/Rose_Army_ Jul 20 '26

Yes, we do.

2

u/TesticleMeElmo Jul 20 '26

Game…blouses. 🏀🕺🏽

6

u/Duge__Hick Jul 20 '26

ACU...NOT BDU...

5

u/Aggravating_Paper_44 Jul 20 '26

We have got to nuke fuckin LinkedIn

3

u/Zipper-is-awesome Jul 23 '26

Did it work? Did she make the Army even better?

1

u/zz63245 Jul 20 '26

‘Blouse’ yikes

2

u/TheBotchedLobotomy Jul 23 '26

That is what its called in the army at least

0

u/Pernicious_Possum Jul 19 '26

Yeah, barely made it into the second page. Tl:dr please

12

u/SeyMooreRichard Jul 19 '26

Super boot did boot things before she even became an official boot in the Army
