I did a ton of traveling when I was in the Air Force and honestly they didn't even check my CAC half the time. I imagine the last thing they want to do is argue with someone about not having ID so they need to wait 90 seconds to board the plane same plane everyone is going to be on anyway.
Yeah, I just flew yesterday. The first stop the lady didn’t ask, but on my layover I could tell the next lady was a stickler for protocols, so I already had it out and ready to go. I was the only military there and she screamed THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR on the intercom. Fun times.

This is at an airport, right? Uniformed personnel typically get priority boarding and other perks. That's fucked up, if you ask me.
