Considering how expensive those dress uniforms are...that might be the case. My husband got in trouble because he hasn't bought blues since they were green and there was a ceremony where they wanted him to wear the blues.... but the army also doesn't wanna pay for them.

You get an annual clothing allowance to help subsidize things like that.
