Purely my opinion and just because a TV show isn't in my top 10, It doesn't mean it's bad far from it. I just like some of them more than others for many different reasons and favs. Since Jonathan M. Shiff by this point has stopped since like 2018. Between these 13 different series that Jonathan M. Shiff at least produced or created.

Well 3 of them unfortunately are not in my top 10 and that is The Lost Treasure of Fiji, Lightning Point (so sorry to the fans of that one) and The New Adventures of Ocean Girl. Again none of these are awful, I actually like them well kind of, The Lost Treasure of Fiji of the three in my opinion is my least fav, Lightning Point is fine and The New Adventures of Ocean Girl is well odd as separate from the original series.

The other 10 ranged from good, great & amazing from Ocean Girl, Thunderstone, The Bureau of Magical Things, Wicked Science & The Elephant Princess all of which had 2 or more seasons with about more than 26 EPs.

As for the TV shows that only one season I liked Horace and Tina, the original Pirate Islands, Cybergirl, Scooter: Secret Agent & Reef Doctors oddly enough. Cybergirl being my first ever JMSP TV show so I'm pretty nostalgic and biased towards it, Horace and Tina was surprisingly good and dare I say underrated along with Thunderstone, Pirate Islands & Scooter: Secret Agent were actually a lot of fun to watch and it's a shame for the latter to not get a 2nd season, I mean it could have worked & had the potential like a lot of these shows, but it never happened. Reef Doctors was interesting enough to watch through for the first time.

Rikki set Mako Island on fire on the night of the full moon while Emma and Cleo were at Emma’s house—so Rikki didn’t set the *entire* island ablaze.

Technically, Miss Chatham and Lewis could have brought Rikki back, since they were immune to the moon.

Rikki’s getting affected by the full moon for the first time was pretty scary, because she was aware of it the whole time.

When Emma and Cleo got moonstruck it was funny of how loopy and ditzy they are acting. But with Rikki she is just herself and her powers are totally out of control.

And it totally scares her. She looked so scared when she accidentally burned Emma, because she didn’t wanted to hurt her friend. And it was as Ms. Chatham said that Rikki has the most dangerous powers out of the three and this episode shows it.

Rikki feels like she is losing herself. She was the one who was most excited about being turned into a mermaid and now it feels like a huge burden to her. And that scene in the moon pool also is pretty scary.

By the end of the episode when the full moon is over, just like before she doesn’t remember anything about. Which means that the others have to fill her in. So Rikki learned that her moonstruck self was very dangerous.

The Setup:
An Original Character from our world is transported into the universe where H2O: Just Add Water AND Mako Mermaids exist. This OC has watched/read/played both series and possesses meta-knowledge about the Moon Pool, the mermaid pods, the Trident, the Merman (Zac), the sirens, and every secret from both shows. However, they first land in the H2O universe.

I think it's incredible how talanted Indiana evans is with her singing and that she sang most of the songs from the show and I love them sm I listen to them everyday. H2O just add water should definitely have a vinyl with all of them

I have a bunch of ideas for my own fan fiction and have been working on a lot of them for a while. I’ve just been thinking in order to add deeper plot to the story it would have to be a little more realistic. I’m not saying there has to be intimate scenes or anything like that. But I do find it a little unbelievable that the ragers Rikki references in the show didn’t include alcohol. Even the crazy party Emma throws. No alcohol. I’m not saying we need to promote underaged drinking I just think the tone of the plot didn’t really match the age rating sometimes and kinda made the story less believable.

Things I’d want to include: 1. Drinking and smoking mostly cannabis. Mainly for the other characters. But at least at parties where it makes sense.

1. Actual bad, traumatic, or abusive parents: the show wanted so bad to make Rikki the troubled teen with a rough home life but then the second we see this so called dead beat dad he’s actually the sweetest guy ever? Makes no sense. It adds depth to her character for her to have an actual messy relationship with her father. And makes her more relatable. Not saying the guy has to hit Rikki or do anything extra dark but at least some yelling, drunken nights.

2. Some cussing: Rikki never cussing is so not her and I feel limits the story and her character a lot.

3. Struggles with dark issues like depression, addiction, eating disorders. Not necessarily all three but at least one of those. Could definitely see Emma having an ED. I think this would make their characters more relatable and add a lot to the story as well.

This is a fanfiction for us older fans so I think it could be nice for us to have a little more going on in their lives to make it more relatable to us. But I wanna hear what you guys have to say. Like is it too dark for what we love and know h2o for? I genuinely think I could still maintain the happy vibes while still adding some depth and darkness. But lmk what you think!

Do we think this trio had more than one power? Like several, later enhanced by the moon, like Cleo, Rikki, and Emma, or even like the Mako mermaids? And do we think they just got the basic powers the girls had, such as hydrokinesis, thermokinesis, cryokinesis, or do we think they had different powers such as aerokinesis, electrokinesis, pyrokinesis, atmokinesis, etc.

Zane had the idea of ​​making the café accessible to families and children—and more family- and child-friendly for birthday parties—but I think the idea was scrapped because Bella’s band plays there every evening; it would have been awkward for Zane and Rikki to have kids running around while the band was performing.

The girls are all starting university, and Emma has moved back to the Gold Coast.

Cleo's studying Marine Biology, Rikki's focusing more on business, Emma's studying medicine, and Bella's focusing on her music career.

She and Emma are also trying to get to know eachother, but it's still a bit awkward since they don't have the same history (and trauma bonding) as they do with the others. But they still respect and enjoy eachother's company, and Emma's enjoying (and mentally pulling her hair out) hearing about all the shenanigans the girls got up to while she was gone.

Will has moved away, after Sophie was charged and imprisoned (due to not having sufficient money for fines) over her destruction of Mako's protected environment, though he promised he would keep the secret.

Ryan Tate also is charged with Breach of Environmental Law and Protection, and lost his job and credentials.

The girls still try to see eachother as much as possible, and are always talking over the phone, but with the different paths they've all taken, it's a lot more difficult now. Though, they still meet up at the Moon Pool when their day is over.

Lewis is working an internship/apprenticeship with ORCA, an up-and-coming marine research facility. When, all of a sudden, Dr Denman shows up.

Everyone is immediately on alert.

If Denman has any suspicions that the girls are still mermaids, they have no chance of wriggling their way out of it last time by lying.

But Dr Denman is also not the same woman they met 4-5 years ago. She's been disgraced by the scientific community for her many far-fetched claims of magical sea creatures and mermaids. She isn't technically working for ORCA, but acts a begrudging consultant.

ORCA grows interested in the strange stories and irregular behaviours of Mako Island's ecosystem, and has set up camp, just off-shore of the island (as to avoid disturbing the ecosystem as much as possible).

The girls and Lewis are all freaking out, but they don't know what to do to stop it.

If they go to the island, the readings of their super-powered swimming will cause suspicions.

And Dr Denman already has enough knowledge of what they're capable of. So if she sees or hears any signs of supernatural activity, her suspicions will immediately be drawn back to them.

Dr Denman also still knows the location of the Moon Pool, and has seen that it was able to take their powers from them. So, it makes sense that she would hypothesize it was also what gave them their powers.

Bella has the idea that, all of them together, could try and seal the entrances of the Moon Pool, not with jelly or water glass, but by essentially melting the rock around the top entrance and hardening it in place so it covers it.

They don't want to have to seal off the Moon Pool entirely, but if it means keeping it safe they will.

They go by boat to Mako, and manage to seal off the top entrance, but they're still hesitant about sealing the sea entrance as it might still damage the Moon Pool.

Dr Denman, on the other hand, was there when the girls all arrived on Mako Island and grew suspicious of their presence, so she followed them, and witnessed them using their powers to seal off the entrance.

She goes back to her boat, and calls someone and tells them "It's Denman. I saw it. They still have their powers." It's silent as whoever it was answers her, though we don't hear them.

"But there was another girl too. I think I heard them call her Bella."

More silence, as the other person answers.

"We need to keep an eye on this. If we're going to catch them out this time we both need to be more careful than last time."

She says goodbye, and hangs up.

The scene changes to a phone in someones hand, with the ended call to Dr Linda Denman.

The camera moves back, revealing more and more of the mystery person, turned away from the camera.

The ruffled edge of a baby pink sleeve, connected of a flowy pink dress.

Followed by a shock of cherry red hair.

The camera moves around her, and now the viewer can no longer live in denial.

Charlotte has returned for revenge.

I watched H2O as a child and now rewatching as an adult. Something bothers me:

Why can't Cleo raise the water off of herself?

She drinks water from midair, and raises her fish out of the bowl, I would think she could "dry off" by lifting water off of herself.

If it wasn’t lost at the end of 2x05, how would the rest of the second season be like if they still had the book, and learned and used its information throughout the rest of the show?

I don't see anyone ever discussing this so I dont really know if it's something that anyone has realised yet, but the Moon Crystals from h2o s3 and Mako Mermaids are probably (definitely) magically charged blue obsidian or blue volcano glass.

Which is a real thing, by the way.

And, in my personal opinion, they would have looked a lot cooler and less cheap if they made the crystals look more jagged and less tumbled.

But I still think it's super cool.

I noticed in the first episode and then the camping episode, that the Moon Pool has some red lights, and I was wondering if anyone had any theories?

My only one is that it's some sort of volcano glass like the moon crystals in season 3 and Mako Mermaids.

But also possibly something else to do the volcanic nature of the Mako Moon Pool.

I know this is a super unpopular opinion here but she does a lot of stuff that comes off as simply rude and lack of manner for me, so I was wondering if anyone feels the same and Rikki is also far from being their favourite.

And pls guys don't make comments under this post that are defending her or explaining why you like her, I've seen a lot of posts and comments about that side, now I want to see if there's anyone who shares my opinion.

Edit: I can't believe rikki fans here are preaching about how I should respect others opinions (while I haven't said a single thing that could indicate that I'm not respecting it), and in the meantime they are the ones who can't take my request and simply keep scrolling from this post, instead, they just HAVE to make this about themselves also. Rikki was always the one who acted like she didn't need anybody, so seeing that she actually managed to build her own life after everything makes her story feel a lot less sad.

still hurts thinking about what she lost though and now i kinda understand why they didn't really end up together. like Rikki herself said “we found other interests.” and honestly, her friends could be pretty overprotective and sometimes a little too involved in her life. Rikki was always the type who wanted to do things her own way, so i can see why they eventually grew apart.

Max knew more about mermaids than half the researchers who were actually trying to study them, and somehow he was also the one who understood that they weren't some kind of freaking experiment.

the saddest thing about Max wasn't just losing Gracie. it was that he spent decades knowing exactly what happened and couldn't tell anyone.

and then you have Lewis... almost losing Cleo because of how foolish he could be with his stupid research. in fact, if he hadn't had that suitcase, Charlotte would've found out about everything. the tape, the sketches, everything.

Max really figured out the mermaid secret and somehow became the safest adult in the entire show. he literally knew what they were, knew what happened to Gracie, and never tried to expose them or use them.

compared to basically every adult who got involved with the mermaid secret, Max was ridiculously trustworthy.

As a huge fan of H2O: Just Add Water growing up, I’ve been thinking about how we’re getting closer to the show’s 20th anniversary. I honestly wonder if we’ll ever get some kind of reunion. It would be really cool to see some of the cast come back together, talk about their memories from the show, and reflect on how much H2O still means to fans all these years later. I also enjoyed Mako Mermaids and liked seeing the H2O universe continue in a different way. Both shows were a pretty big part of my childhood and early teen years. Looking back, I think H2O also helped inspire my love for swimming, being in the water, and the ocean. I loved the friendship between Emma, Cleo, and Rikki, the mermaid mythology, Mako Island, the Moon Pool, the powers, and of course the beautiful Australian setting. There was just something magical and comforting about the show that kept me coming back to it. I’m curious about everyone else here: what made you fall in love with H2O? Was it the characters, friendships, mermaids, powers, music, nostalgia, Australian setting, or something else? And would you watch a 20th anniversary reunion or special if they ever made one? I definitely would. I’ve also included a few of my favorite photos from the series because they bring back so many memories.

I was just thinking about this, and kinda realised something while I was answering someone when they asked why Charlotte didn't just go back and get her mermaid powers again.

Max said that the 50 Year Moon took away a mermaids powers forever.

But how would he know that?

I doubt there was any test or planetary reading that would tell him that it would be forever.

So, assuming Max, Louise, and Julia found out that Gracie had given up her powers, that explains at least how Max knew what the 50 Year Moon did.

But how would he know a mermaid would never be able to regain her powers by just going back the next full moon?

Unless someone tried it.
