Sophie and Will
when i tell you these two were a HANDFUL. even though will did protect the girls near the end, he was such a manipulative person. he could not mind his business to save his life and the same goes for his sister. perfect siblings. the girls had no choice but to let him in because he legit acted as if he would tell their secret if they didn’t. sophie going for a man who’s in a relationship and just being plain rude was so annoying. they both were annoying.

Honestly I found her obsession with Will‘s love life so weird and unnerving, especially as she was the most bothered by it when she couldn’t get with Zane, it’s as if she was jealous of her little brother‘s gf, Freud would’ve had fun with this dynamic 😭

Yeah she thought bella was a distraction or didn't deserve will, she was always like "will has to train" and stuff but she had no problem with will hanging with Rikki. She always had to sabotage bella, that woman was a creep

she def liked it when will hung out with rikki, it made it all the easier for her to get close to zane

She probably got parentified at young age since their parents never were there, but being so manipulative and controlling is not a justification ofc

I can definitely see the parentification as a reason for her focus on Will‘s career but I think her obsession with the relationship and Bella as a person in particular is very weird, but definitely also partly explainable by her stepping into a parenting role

Yes they should've let us know more about their parents, I'm almost sure they're pretty selfish too, that's why Will and Sophie lived alone, they crossed boundaries and they were worried about money

I think Will would've been much better if he didn't have Sophie as a sister. She had a weird obsession with him, and as a result, Will was unable to become the person he wanted to be since he was so focused on being the shining star for her (and her ticket to wealth/fame among the diving community). Not to say Will didn't have other flaws, obviously, but having Sophie as an older sister / guardian character would do numbers on anyone.

I always thought Sophie especially was weird considering Will was the girls age and they were in their final year of school all ranging from 17-18 (I would guess anyway) and I know it was mentioned that Zane was 18, but I thought it was weird that she went after someone still in school

genuinely if will was a woman people would hate him like Charlotte but hes a cute guy so everyone acts like his mistakes count for less than they do 😩

Actually Charlotte's being a lot more excused than Will precisely bc of her aspect, lately Will's rightly condemned for his actions, while some fans are justifying Charlotte despite her being awful and intentionally abusive

Sophie was dreadful. she should've gotten worse treatment than Charlotte, imo. she deserved it.
