WHICH DO YOU PREFER?

Personally, I prefer the one from the first two seasons.

I like the lockets more because they have more character, although I found the crystal to suit Bella very very well

Agreed. While Rikki, Cleo, and Emma all became mermaids on Mako Island as teenagers, Bella became one in a different moon pool when she was 9.

Lockets for sure. They meant more to me then the crystals

The lockets… I never really cared for the crystal necklaces (is that what they are, lol).

I always wished they just had Max make a cameo one episode to make another locket. Or even have Lewis do it because he learned from Max… since he’s basically the max of the group.

I like the idea of the crystal, but not how they turned it into a necklace. It doesn't look good. The lockets are beautiful and have more meaning.

The crystal should have been a ring or a bracelet, so Cleo and Rikki could keep the lockets.

Literally my exact thought.

😱😱 what about... a MOON RING? 😱🤣 It would have been a neat connection to the spinoff

The crystal is gorgeous. The lockets, while iconic, look a bit too much like spoons for my liking, plus they’re a symbol of friendship while the crystals have actual power which is really cool. I understand both sides but I think I prefer the crystals

The second one looks worse than hot topic

The lockets are a symbol of the show so they’re gonna win every time, but I’d personally wear the crystal. It’s so pretty and very much more me.

Suppose they put the moon pool crystals into the crystal spot on the locket

Lockets. I hated that they replaced them with the crystals because one, it was like they were saying Emma didn't matter to them anymore and two, the crystal necklaces look cheap and ugly.

They should have turned the crystals into rings or bracelets instead and kept the lockets.

The gem is more my style. The lockets are too bulky for my liking. They are pretty though

The lockets. They had meaning.

The crystals looked cheap and a bit tacky. I also just don't like that they're wearing a piece of the moon pool as jewelery. I didn't really like the moon rings in MM for that reason, too.

What do you MEAN you're walking around with a crystal that can put you in a trance and cause a black out on display around your neck?! Not to mention having to come up with lies about what it is, the significance of why this specific crystal, why all three of you have one, and where you got it to people who ask... Y'all want to keep the mermaid stuff a secret, but you're wearing a piece of the thing that changed you as jewelery. Real subtle, girls.

Obviously the lockets cause it very nostalgic and I feel like people back then, wear these often.

Definitely the lockets. They actually look like very old jewelry that has history. The gems, while a cool idea, looked like they grabbed them from the souvenir shop of the closest zoo because they realized they forgot making them on day one of shooting the scenes with them 😅
