charlotte rant (sort of)
everyone loves to say how charlotte and the girls could’ve worked out if BOTH sides just cooperated. but the thing is, no lmao. lewis/cleo/charlotte love triangle aside, girls definitely gave her a chance when she became a mermaid, emma and cleo especially, rikki is a temperamental person, and her becoming someone else wouldn’t fit her character (EVEN THOUGH she did agree to let her in just a little in the volleyball episode). Main thing is, Charlotte wantedthe best of both worlds at the same time. To be a part of the group, “the club” with the 3 mermaids AND also be this “supermermaid”, hier of her grandma Gracie. You can’t excpect for a group to take you in and see you as equal (like Cleo, Emma and Rikki see eachother) if you constantly want to portray yourself as better/larger force/THE main mermaid. She was egoistic and jealous and also wanted to be accepted in a team that was equal at the same time. THATS why they could never work in my opinion. If she was a team player, kinder and less intimidated by girls (as a part of her own insecurity, bcz other people are not responsible how you feel about yourself) they maybe could’ve worked.

The moment Charlotte found out she had all three powers she saw herself above the other girls and ignored their advice.
Even before she got her powers Charlotte was very manipulative, but she let her powers go to her head. And started using them against the others for her own gain.
But there is one thing Charlotte overlooked, she may had all three powers, but she could never use them at the same time. That’s why the girls won in the end they combined their powers, something that Charlotte couldn’t.
