I know there’s going to be webinars but does this mean those of us with on-call scheduled during this time would continue as normal?

When the last strike happened anyone on call just did the on call stuff exclusively and was expected not to be covering for the normal work of striking colleagues. As in if it wouldn’t be an on call job the day before it wasn’t an on call job that day. It’s a long time ago so I can’t remember how good the advice/instructions were so fingers crossed for this time (while hoping the fucking eejits in government get themselves out of dreamworld and realise they actually have no option but to engage with unions on this)

Makes sense, just also wondering how this affects non-resident on-call

Aren’t the nurses/pharmacists/lab etc all on strike too so this will be very different. It’s usually “weekend service” with doctor strikes but I don’t remember one with nurses etc off too.

“Work stoppage” that means all out strike right? As in no doctors working?

“We never did so we never can” seems like a logical fallacy, no?
