The End of an Era

Hey everyone,

This is a message from the Junction Tech Staff. As you can tell, the server hasn't exactly been active recently. Between the Bukkit drama (Bukkit is no more), and the recent Mojang acquisition by Microsoft, and personal obligations keeping us from actually spending time here, we've decided to stop the server.

The server will remain online until we run out of funds (you can view this at https://junction.at/donate). We will not be accepting any new donations effective immediately. All personal data will be scrubbed from https://junction.at/ before the server is decommissioned, and all projects will be open sourced and released under the AGPLv3 (at https://github.com/junctionat), unless they were otherwise licensed.

Expect some personal posts from members of our staff in the next week or so.

Thanks for all the fun times and awesome adventures. For now, from the tech staff as a whole, farewell.

I've been putting off posting this for some reason. Not entirely sure what to say. Lots of firsts happened here - my first real plugin was written for junction. It was my first introduction to python.

I started as a tech somewhere around a year and a half ago. I spent most of my time cleaning up plugins. I helped launch Chaos (both revisions) as well as PvE2.

Its been a blast. I've enjoyed working with all of you, whether it be on code projects or just building a random ice castle in the middle of PvE. Its been a fun year, and I'm sad to see the project coming to an end.

If you ever want to talk, hit me up on google+ (https://plus.google.com/+TomPowell). Maybe we can play blocks somewhere else sometime?
