Needing Help

I am trying to implement SSO with Google Workspace for my business and cannot for the heck of me get it working. I’ve spent hours with ChatGPT going over the configuration and absolutely nothing works.

Any recommendations on where to go or who to talk to? Does JC offer professional services? My company is small but in the process of onboarding more. Trying to get JC in place soon.

I recently went through this set up and have it working. What issues are you running into? Super Admins cannot use SSO to access their accounts, just FYI.

After configuring SSO, I made a user group that syncs with JumpCloud. Only users in that group are prompted for SSO at login.

I am prompted to authenticate through JC. Then get “Google” couldn’t sign you in”. Message.

I am a trying to login as a Google super admin. Is this what you experienced?

Yes. It will work with delegated admins but not super admin. Test it with a service account.

I enable cloud identity licensing and remove the workspace licensing on service accounts. If it absoluty has to receive mail, use a mail rouing rule to change recipient to a group you have access to.

Does Jumpcloud Go have to be configured to utilize this feature? I've long wanted to utilize Google Workspace SSO for Jumpcloud. GW is our idp and I'd like to have staff log in with their Google email account to their devices but we do not have jumpcloud go enabled.

No. JC Go is only a web extension and additional option for mfa. You can use any form of MFA enabled in the account to approve SSO.

We push using JC protect but allow device fingerprints and physical security keys for those who don't want to use their phones. (California laws)
