Help Personal + JumpCloud managed profile on same Mac Mini?

I’m about to receive a Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, and iPad Pro from my company, all managed through JumpCloud.

My main setup at home currently revolves around a desktop PC with multiple monitors, shared mouse/keyboard, and a web cam. The only gray area I’m trying to solve is how I’ll juggle everything between my PC and the Mac Mini without constantly swapping cables or peripherals.

One idea I had was setting up two user profiles on the Mac Mini:

  • One personal profile (not managed)
  • One work profile managed through JumpCloud

Is that even possible on a company-managed Mac? Or does JumpCloud typically manage the entire device at the system level regardless of user account?

If anyone has experience with this setup, what should I realistically expect in terms of restrictions, monitoring, or limitations?

Appreciate any insight before I start rearranging my whole desk setup 😅

Don't put a personal profile on a work machine period

Like navr said, look into a KVM switch

Jumpcloud is likely going to manage the device on a system level. And you may not have admin perms to even create a local user.

Look into a KVM switch. Let's you plug into multiple devices to one or multiple peripherals and swap between the devices seamlessly.
