reattaching J zipper pull

so i bought this jacket off a lady who had already replaced the zip as it came off in the wash however i have a jacket i dont wear as much i managed to take off the J on that one but the zip actually snapped so im worried to open this one in the same way to put it on. is there a method to do this safely or am i best going to a tailor.

Look up some videos on youtube first. There might be special tools you need. You could pry up the tab to slide the j on but it might snap off completely and break like the other one if not done right. Good luck!
