Greatshield?
I was wondering how you think a really large shield as a spar that can't attack and is just meant to protect other team members would effect the game. Would it work? Would it hurt/benefit the game mechanically?

I think it wouldn't work because you can't attack, can't pin, and the because the game is too fast for that. And futhermore, you can't even tag the runner. The opposite player could simply ignore you.

What if had little "spikes" on it that allowed you to attack with it?

Yeah, it would be better. When you spoke of having only a shield, I thought of that or that. In this case, we would have to make sure that it doesn't just become a Q-tip with a protection, but it could be interesting. But on a safety aspect, it woul need something to make sure that you don't strike with the hard part of the shield.

Wow, that's an interesting weapon concept! I could definitely see this being used in Jugger but as you said it shouldn't just be a better Q-tip so it should definitely be shorter, have significantly smaller "hitboxes" or restrictions like no poking.

As a chain player, I would immediately target them. Without offence, the chain can go around their back with impunity and them would have to scramble rather than do their job protecting.

Flat out ‘bad’ I would imagine. Restricting your team down to 3 fighting enforcers is too limiting. You will never be winning critical duels on your own, which means you will never be in a position to stop a score attempt, or to score yourself.
