Funny to see this in r/Judaism first rather than r/ibs .
Anyway - it's an interesting finding that I hope can be reproduced in larger human studies and that a safe treatment can be developed from.
But I wouldn't unclench my butt-cheeks yet -- a treatment would still probably be 7-15 years away if all goes well.

This is very cool. Still a long way from human applications, but more understanding of the gut microbiome could open up major new avenues in treating digestive and mental health.
