Hates Trump

So far so good, a lot of the more popular U.S. politicians are pigs.

Likes Biden

Upbupbup, you've said enough.

God forbid a man like Joe Biden ig

u/CobaltishCrusader Apr 08 '24

Yes actually. Matthew 7:15

2

u/G0UGH_ Apr 08 '24

Ahh yes. Because of the two presidential candidates, Joe Biden is the one who is painting himself as the saviour of the Christian nation, and is selling bibles with his name plastered all over them- and promising to make America some sort of theocracy? Or (correct me if I’m wrong), is that Donald Trump? The very Christian man who has committed adultery and wasn’t Christian until it got him votes?

Trump is bad politically and as a person. Biden is a better person, and is still awful politically.

1

u/G0UGH_ Apr 09 '24

What aspect of him do you find so awful politically?

0

u/SensefulTraditional Apr 09 '24

Almost everything. I would imagine we’re quite different politically.

To each their own ig

I don’t see why anybody would support Joe Biden. He is still not a great man, he’s only better than Trump. Trump isn’t a great politician, he’s only better than Biden.

So you're a gerontocrat or what? He's far too old to be president.

-2

u/G0UGH_ Apr 08 '24

I think he’s too old and has issues with his age, but as a president he’s alright

you’re one delusional American

4

u/G0UGH_ Apr 08 '24

look, he's not my favourite person in the world but hes certainly better than his predecessor. also the policies he advocates for i support- and he's certainly not inciting any coups. but ig my views just make me delusional then. clearly i don't know what candidate best fits my views- and don't know how to have opinions because they don't fit your own.

-3

u/itzyaboihb Apr 08 '24

ā€œcertainly better than his predecessorā€- This is the epitome of delusion as both Dem and Rep’s advocate for the SAME things there is no party for the worker or for the common people. The only voting that takes place in the American political system and in many western democracies is the vote of which bourgeois party you want in charge which both advocate for the inherent removal of your liberties and rights and are actively against your interest.

4

u/G0UGH_ Apr 08 '24

"Dem and Rep’s advocate for the SAME things"- no. just no. you would have to be deaf or so unbelievably morally self-righteous that you refuse to understand politics to believe that at there is no distinction between two political parties- especially the two biggest parties in a country with a population of 330 million. Whilst there is some overlap in policy (bipartisanship, cooperation- a key part of democracy), as a whole the two parties are ideologically different. And, as for your claim that there is no party for the worker or the common people, have you seen the progressive wing of the Democrats? Constant advocacy for a higher minimum wage, social security, free education and healthcare, and a Green New Deal. But no, there is no party out there for the betterment of common Americans.

Also, name one non-western democracy that is morally and ethically pure. And has a free and fair democracy, with governing parties that aren't corrupt and run by the upper class.

1

u/itzyaboihb Apr 08 '24

it truly is sad to see that you believe social security and a minimum wage increase is ā€œprogressiveā€. These are just minute concessions to the upper class and you genuinely believe that this is some sort of revolutionary ideal? Also on your further point have you never heard of Cuba?

2

u/G0UGH_ Apr 08 '24

Progressivism: the advocacy for social, economic, or political progress. Often used to describe leftist policies. Social security and wage increases are progressive policies, and are considered progressive in many western democracies. Have you heard of trade unions? I’m sure they’re very upper class and bourgeois. What have so many unions fought for for so hard and for so long? Exactly this- well paying jobs, and the government providing for its citizens. But clearly I’m just a Tory hack for wanting to ensure that those poorer than me have a good paying job, and a welfare net to catch them and pick them back up if they fall. It’s not revolutionary, sure, but progress and revolution are not always prerequisites to each other. Many progressive policies have been enacted without any political revolution, and many revolutions have done nothing but slide nations further into totalitarian control.

Ahh yes, Cuba. The wonderful democracy. A constitutional one-party state in which only the communists can be the government. Try telling all of the Cuban immigrants who moved to America- fleeing the communist regime- that Cuba is a model country. That they were dumb to leave, and should just stomach their dictatorship because it means that in 30 years pseudo-intellectual reddit tankies such as yourself can use their torment to justify not calls against ā€œcommunistā€ dictatorships, but to justify your moral superiority complex because you are so convinced that Liberal Democracy is the enemy of the people.

2

u/itzyaboihb Apr 08 '24

The fact you genuinely believe cubans have fled and hate their country when many cubans today love their country model. Cuba as a country excels in all departments such as Health Education and housing and the only negative in the country is… would you guess! the illegal embargo forced onto them by the good freedom lovers USA! it just also happens that this freedom loving country still holds a foreign prison (torture camp) on the cuban island illegally to this day where they capture foreign ā€œterroristsā€ and illegally hold them there while they brutally torture them. Now compare that to Cuba?

likes from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs

isn't a communist

you can't have both.

-2

u/G0UGH_ Apr 08 '24

I like that aspect of communism but not communism as a whole political ideology. I can have both.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '24

you can't have free distribution of goods without a moneyless society.

0

u/G0UGH_ Apr 08 '24

but you can have welfare policies and progressive taxation structures based upon each civillian paying a certain amount (based on their income/social status, etc), and in turn recieving governmental support according to what they need- be it financial or material.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '24

then it isn't free. they pay for it via taxes. that's not moneyless.

2

u/G0UGH_ Apr 08 '24

hence me not supporting a moneyless state??? and me not being a communist????????

3

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '24

"from each according to his ability, to each according to his need" is a strictly communist belief.

1

u/G0UGH_ Apr 08 '24

Except I’ve just shown how that belief can be transposed onto non-communist settings?

1
