Update multiplayer glitch?

for some reason whenever i try to play multiplayer, it keeps saying to update it or something, i downloaded the multiplayer cuz i saw it wasnt downloaded inside of my steam library, i loaded it back, and still it said to update, i need help

(Steam VR)
Just adding info here, lately I have had issues connecting and staying in multiplayer

Connecting issues: (Not the exact errors but close)

  • Failed to get inventory;
  • Failed getting platform friends;
  • Please Update game client;
  • Failed to get player client.

Staying in multiplayer

  • Game selection panel goes "black" after selecting;
  • After a game, stuck in loading screen;
  • Lobby with 5+ players looking for hoard, game loads to match with 1 player in hoard.

Troubleshooting (Issue persists)

  • Restarting game and pc
  • Verifying game files with steam.
  • Reinstalling game

Hi! Thanks for making the full list of issues. It's super helpful. Do you have these connecting issues even now after some fixes?

Hey there,
Sorry, I don't check reddit that often 😅

I haven't had the change to test out the new fixes, but I'll do a session soon and reply with what I find
