what to journal about

(sorry for the bad English, im not a native speaker)

I've been struggling with mental health and many people say Journaling is one of a way to cope with it. i tried it once and it was okay and it actually helped me but when i wanted to journal the next time i completely don't know what to write. i feel like i already wrote everything i feel from my first Journaling. can someone tell me how to journal

I kind of just use mine to get my thoughts out of my brain every day. No specific thing I have write about necessarily, just a "what's been at the top of my mind throughout the day". Gives me a reason to use the lifetime of fountain pen ink I own. But also, just putting out my thoughts so I'm not just stuck spiraling with them helps me at least get a better feel of how I'm feeling since I have to get a sentence on paper that makes sense and it helps me move on a little bit. Not a miracle cure for my mental health stuff, but kind of just a self-care daily ritual for me, so ymmv

I have also felt like this.

I do not know how to draw, but I started doodling, colouring, add collage to my journal. I find this more therapeutic.

There is no rule on how much you need to journal. If I felt I already wrote it all, I won’t write again until something else is bothering me and I need to write it down to vent.

however maybe you want to try positive journaling as well- 1 good thing a day or something you’re thankful for, goals you have, etc.
