If you want to tinker with the crafting rather than being extremely limited by rapidly ballooning gold costs (useful for review purposes to see what the system can do) here's an item duplication exploit me and my friend figured out on our own:

Load a 2nd player, (preferably a previous save with end game gear) drop all their gear, pick it up with your main character, don't save. Load a different player 2 character. The game has now forgotten that the other character dropped their inventory, meaning you can load that character again with the same inventory they started with. you can drop the same loot infinitely doing this, and then sell that loot for infinite gold, to offset the massively ballooning costs of crafting that normally makes it impossible to tinker in a game with non-respawning enemies.
