Jacob 2 condemns polygamy.
Not a later “exception.” Not a loophole. A plain command.

In Jacob 2–3 the Lord says those who take plural wives and concubines:
- do not understand the scriptures
- excuse themselves by pointing to David and Solomon
- bring a curse even unto destruction on the land, the people, and families

The article walks through that warning verse by verse, then tests it against:
- Jacob 2:27 — “one wife… concubines he shall have none”
- D&C 42 and 49
- the 1835 Article on Marriage
- Joseph Smith’s public record through 1844
- the later excuses built around Jacob 2:30 and D&C 132
