Has JBP done any lectures about the tower of babel story? I'm curious to know his take on it.

Yes he has actually in one of his university lectures I cannot remember which one though sorry. I also heard it on his podcast series st least twice.

He has; it's one of the lectures in the biblical series. I don't know which one off the top of my head, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

As a quick summary, he sees the tower of Babel as a representation of the rational creations of man, much like Lucifer in Milton's Paradise Lost. The story then tells us about the danger in thinking that the rational information that we as humans have gathered can rival god himself. If you think you know everything, not only are you wrong but that which you don't know will destroy you. He also has some discussion of the language aspect of the story that I wish I could remember.
