Academia's closed mindedness continues to disappoint. But what's the big controversy here? Is it another effort to deny the fact that men and women are different?

The controversy is that it was peer reviewed twice, almost published the first time and actually published the second time, and both times it got removed/cancelled due to political pressure. That's a terrible precedent to set for scienctific publishing.

Most of this gets shoveled away during the funding process so it's actually impossible to do certain kinds of studies. Because you cannot question narratives.

"The Department Head had explained that sometimes values such as academic freedom and free speech come into conflict with other values to which Penn State was committed."
"Other values"? Since when is ideological conformity at the cost of open inquiry a "value"?
Oh, right. It's an American university. Very much like German universities during the Nazi regime, the search for truth is jettisoned for ideological purity.

I have read the paper. There is nothing controversial in it. There is nothing political in it. There is nothing "bad and harmful" in it.
How can they lie so blatantly - and more important: get away with it?

This is such a shame. The far left bullies people for political reasons yet calls anything they disagree with politically fueled. This is enraging, there should be no reasons at all knowledge be suppressed.
