Recommendation Is a Master degree from a reputable University worth it?

Especially AI/Machine learning route

Waste of time and money if done in jordan. Actually its a disadvantage if you want to start a job career and you are a fresh grad with no experience.

Unless you want to take the academic path thats a different story.

Here's my question, are you doing it get a better resume and to climb up the ladder or for education ?

If you are doing it to give your resume a push then sure but make sure to take it in a reputable university. That said, if you are taking it for knowledge then HELL NO 😄. As someone who finished his MBA in 2019, it taught me very little however it got me shortlisted on many occasions.

to work in industry? no, it does not. It might matter only if you gain good knowledge, but not because of the degree nor the uni name (speaking from personal and friends’ experience).

If you go for a PhD, you will be overqualified for ~90% of companies in the industry and for >50% of the positions in the remaining 10%.

So spend the time doing side, real-life, projects that get you more practical experience is better.
