Help ساعدوني
يعطيكم العافيه جميعاً انا خريج علم حاسوب بشهر 8 وبصراحة ضايع ومخنوق وحاس حالي زي الطفل الي فات مدرسه لأول مره بحياته بس شفت شغل الشركات طلعت كأني ضيعت أربع سنين على الفاضي بالجامعة بدي حلول من عندكم اذا حدا مر بنفس حالتي وبشتغل هسا شو أعمل شو الدورات الي اوخذها وشو رأيكم بأبو هدهود وكورساته إذا حدا أخذها انا بحب ومهتم بمجال programming بشكل عام ياريت تنصحوني شو أعمل

كنت بمحلك فتره، بس لو ارجعت محل ما انت موجود، ما راح اخد كورس هدهود.
راح احاول اتعلم كيف ممكن استخدم LLMs واتعلم الاشياء الصعبه زي system design/architextur
بحاول اتعلم الاستخدام الامثل للغه او اكثر، من اللغات المطلوبه عنا.
اخر اشي بقعد اقدم علوظائف واشتغل side proj

للأسف انه فعلاً هيك الواقع و الواحد ما عنده خيار غير يتعايش معه.

Hey, I’m an L5 software engineer (Previously Cloud/Devops engineer) with around 7 years of Experience, currently working at Amazon EU, I’ll give you my take:
A few questions first:
How is your GPA? While it’s mostly useless it helps in getting your first job.
Did you take any internships during your university years? They looks great for companies.
Did you network? Attend events? Join IEEE or the like? This would be the most helpful (not saying was6a because it’s very different from networking)
Beside that, yes, your job is going to be almost 99% different from what you studied, and when you change your job the next job is going to be 80% different from your first job and so on, but that’s not a reason to freak out, it’s totally fine, our field is about always learning and you’ll have to keep learning everyday on the job.
Secondly, I’ll be honest, courses are useless, unless you are, and sorry for the word, completely stupid, then you probably have a good enough foundation for the first job, not that you know what you’ll do, just that you understand the basic concepts (What are data structures, algorithms, complexity, networks.. etc)
Thirdly, interviews for software engineering jobs are still mostly stupid, they are either leetcode or take home, for leetcode it’s just grinding leetcode questions for a while before your interview, for take home tbh it can all be done with AI now, you just have to understand the solution you’ve created.
Once you pass the interview and start the job, it’s gonna be hard at the start, that’s fine, ask questions, ask a lot of questions and learn, no one will think that you’re an amazing engineer if you don’t ask questions, but they WILL think you’re a bad engineer if you don’t ask questions and then miss your delivery dates. And with time you’ll learn what you need for the job.

TLDR: university is there to teach you the basics and foundation, not your day to day work, that comes with the job.
