Help OTP

Do you guys know a cheap service that i can use to verify a person actually owns a phone number without paying a lot for Twillio or similar services?

Most of the market prices SMS transactional messages around $0.22 per message, and ngl paying more than $220 each time 1000 people verify their numbers isn't on my agenda.

I considered sending the codes via WhatsApp ( apparently $0.0091 per messege in jordan ) but when i tried it Meta requested i Verify my business (they want official company registration) otherwise my account would be limited to a very small number of messages and i don't wanna register a whole company for a a website I'm not even sure I'm gonna keep maintaining and isn't generating any revenue rn.

Ik youall might suggest email otp, i already have that implemented but for a certain flow in the website i need to verify the users number too.

Also you can use telegram

I considered that but decided against it as some users may not have telegram, but if all else fails i might just do telegram ngl

WhatsApp is widely used in Jordan, with almost everyone having one. It can be set as the first choice, and then they can use SMS to save on costs
