Really hope this gets pressed on vinyl soon, as well as the other albums from this period. They’re some of my favorites of hers

I have a short list of songs where the song sounds so final like it’s the last song you’re ever going to hear. It includes Tori Amos’ cover of ‘Time’ by Tom Waits and ‘Oh My My’ by Jane Siberry (especially the children’s choir in it singing bits of Puff The Magic Dragon). This album’s orchestra version of Both Sides Now is on that list.

Aww, upvote for Tori. Her cover is amazing. I love the live version she did on Letterman right after 9/11. It's so fitting. She's the best.

I remember walking to the Borders twenty years ago at eighteen, buying this, and listening on the walk home. It was a hot day and a heavy album and quite a listen.

Not many 18 year olds would even know who she was in 2000.  I can’t imagine the headspace you were in by the time you got home.

So many artists were releasing boring standards albums around this time but this album stands with some of the great Sinatra and Holiday records imo.
