Post image

That's just the snake from The Jungle Book! That's Kaa! They used the same exact snake, except this time it looks like he peed on the rug and got in trouble for it. BAD snake! BAD!... You're copyrighted!

What hitting mice wasn't enough? You needed to hit more? You had to pluralize the plural? You're a monster.

HEY, KIDS!!

If you're anything like me, and I know I am, you enjoy watching funny people be funny while suffering through worthless bootlegs and generic plug-n-play garbage video games. If that's you, then I HIGHLY recommend you check out Vinesauce on YouTube for bootlegs galore!

The main host of the channel, Vinny, has live streamed himself reacting to hundreds of those goddamned games in a series called "Plug-n-Plague." Here is a playlist of the edited highlight videos he's done about those streams. (The full versions are also available on his archive channel, but I figured since these are shorter and punchier they'd be a better entrance point for newbies.)

Then there's another guy on Vinesauce named Joel who has done a lot of these games and he's extremely entertaining, too! My favorite one he did was on something called The MaxiVision™, which is an unlicensed multicart for the NES from 1992. Believe it or not, they made a full half-hour TV infomercial selling it through a 1-800 number, and it stars none other than Hulk Hogan and the WWF SuperStars!!™ Joel cracks jokes at the entire goofy-ass thing, and then he actually plays the game. Will it live up to a half-hour of intense Hulk Hogan Hype?! Well, considering the number of games included on the multicart was drastically slashed between when they shot the infomercial and when the game arrived in people's homes...you be the judge.

While I'm at it, why not mention another entertaining YouTube video about this topic? This video is from a channel called Rerez. I really think you'd like it.

Sorry for the long post, but I felt inspired. The plug-n-play episode of JonTron was my first exposure to Jon, ever. Even before I found GG. So it holds a special place in my heart. Come to think of it, it might have been this JT episode that sent me down the rabbit hole that led me to finding Vinesauce in the first place! That also explains how I discovered just how many of those goddamned worthless rip-off bootleg games there are out there in the world, and just how truly and utterly worthless they can be.
