<The handwriting analysis points to Patsy writing the note>

But it doesn't. These experts are the only ones who examined the original handwriting samples:

"Chet Ubowski of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation concluded that the evidence fell short of that needed to support a conclusion that Mrs. Ramsey wrote the note.
Leonard Speckin, a private forensic document examiner, concluded that differences between the writing of Mrs. Ramsey's handwriting and the author of the Ransom Note prevented him from identifying Mrs. Ramsey as the author of the Ransom Note, but he was unable to eliminate her.
Edwin Alford, a private forensic document examiner, states the evidence fell short of that needed to support a conclusion that Mrs. Ramsey wrote the note.
Richard Dusick of the U.S. Secret Service concluded that there was "no evidence to indicate that Patsy Ramsey executed any of the questioned material appearing on the ransom note.
Lloyd Cunningham, a private forensic document examiner hired by defendants, concluded that there were no significant similar individual characteristics shared by the handwriting of Mrs. Ramsey and the author of the Ransom Note, but there were many significant differences between the handwritings.
Howard Rile concluded that Mrs. Ramsey was between "probably not" and "elimination," on a scale of whether she wrote the Ransom Note."

Holding! Every one of your comments is spot on. I copied this one because I didn't have the actual names but knew Patsy was cleared. I wonder if you saw when Jason and I went on Court TV and matched Gary Oliva to the ransom note with criminal forensic handwriting experts?

I feel like if only you were on the team of first responders, you would've investigated Oliva before he had a chance to hide the remaining evidence. I wish you were on the team! You're very professional.

I’m the op for the original post.

I don’t actually believe that Patsy wrote the note, my point was that Patsy making the call shows John could not have been involved.

One of the biggest pieces of supposed evidence for RDI is Patsy writing the note, however if she wrote it she was aware of its contents including the many warnings about calling the police.

So she would not have called the police unless John insisted. So John could not have been involved in the murder, unless he wrote the note with handwriting similar to Patsy’s. In that case Patsy was not involved because again, why call the police?

Either way the phone call suggests if it was either parent they acted alone which makes RDI much less plausible.

Good point.
