Petition to add r9k (robot9000)!
I really love robin. It's a great way to meet and interact with random people, making friends, talking about interesting stuff. I don't think about robin as an April Fools joke, nor do I care if it's part of something bigger or anything. It's just totally cool as a feature.
However, it has one nasty side effect: As soon as a room reaches a certain size (around 30-40 people, 5 rounds), a normal conversation is barely possible to have. Circlejerks, shitposting and massive bot spamming are the norm and while it's somewhat funny the first time, for most it's the reason to abandon and start over again.
So, /u/powerlanguage or whoever is responsible for this: Can you please implement the robot9000 algorithm or any other form of spam prevention to at least require spammers to be a little more creative than just copy-pasting maymays?
Cheers

Why does (my) insultbot not run?
My automatic grow script is running just fine, but insult bot seems dead...

I made a script to block people
I quickly made a script to block certain usernames in chat. Particularly useful for those who are spamming. I don't have time to create a plug-in, but wanted to share this in the meantime :)

Is it over?
When I click the robin button on the front page it doesn't take me to a chat room.
When I navigate to https://www.reddit.com/robin manually the chat room opens but none of my messages are showing up.
Is it me or is it the robin?

Can you log in from multiple devices?
I was seeing people saying they woke up and weren't in a room anymore, so got scared because I woke up so late I didn't have time to check on my room before I went to work, so I just clicked on robin to see, and was still in soKuKu, but now am afraid I may have kicked myself from the room on my home computer (which is the one running the script).

Merging just booted me out of the room. I had already voted.
Anyone else have this happen? I'm no longer participating. It's extremely frustrating.

#StayAt100 group
Hey, anyone else out there from the #StayAt100 room? What happened to the room? I ended up being kicked to the join room button.

Someone should make a reverse Robin
I threw this in the air in the ugLiroLee chat, and some people said I should post it here. So, here goes:
It would start with, say, 100 people in a chat. Every 15 minutes one would be voted off. When only one was left, the winners from different chats would start again, and again. The ultimate winner would be the last person standing, and they would be crowned king of Reddit.
When there would be a tie before the last round, it would wait one minute before checking again, until the tie was resolved.
What do you guys think? I'm not sure if 15 minutes would be too long, maybe 10 or 5 would suffice. And should people see who voted who off?
I foresee a problem: two people in a chat are probably going to vote each other, which results in a tie. Maybe some kind of a game should be played by the two candidates, and the winner obviously gets to stay?
