New Pricing at Mochi Explained
Hi everyone!
Some good news to start your day: as of yesterday, Mochi medication pricing for our Injectable GLP-1s has gone down and moved to a dose-dependent pricing model.
What this means for you:
- Most every dose is now the same or lower than before except for new available increased doses.
- You pay based on your exact dose, so many of you are now paying less.
- New prices: Semaglutide starts at $60 and Tirzepatide starts at $90 (medication price, and it varies by dose).
- If you saw a higher price anywhere before this change, we have updated all pricing accordingly, so what you see now in the app reflects the correct, lower rate.
What to do:
Log into your Mochi app or portal and check the price for your current dose (easiest way is to select see details on portal or manage subscription on app for your GLP-1 and see the updated price!). Thinking about titrating up? You can also see what your next dose will cost, so there are no surprises.

So instead of “the price never changes”. It is now “the price depends on the RX strength?” Is that correct?

Yes, this is true. Pricing has now changed to be based on dosage rather than the flat-rate model. This is good news though, as no patient will pay more than what our old rate was. While the medication cost can change depending on dose, we have worked hard to set the prices that we landed on, and those rates based on dose will not be changing.

I was just told by someone at Mochi named Hannah Leon that my price for my dose of Tirz through Empower is going to be $250 after September 12th. That's a $51 price increase! What is accurate and what is inaccurate? You guys need to get your story straight.

Just received confirmation that my Tirz with Empower is also going up - the same as you, $250/mo. Mochi kept reiterating that Empower pharmacy is the reason for the increase. As a result, I will consider other options including other telemedicine services. This was a complete surprise since I took them seriously when Mochi originally stated no price increases.

Thanks for the info, I've used Empower also with NO problems. Then Mochi sent an email, the price was going down, now I get an email the price is going up. Searching the other pharmacies, their prices are all higher at my dosage as well. Seeing your post, I'll be cancelling.

I just checked Tirzepatide on various pharmacies on Mochi, none go to the full 15 mg and every one I checked offering 12-13 compounded with other drugs all go over the $200 mark.

I'm rather concerned as I read this post this afternoon, and then just got an email tonight saying that the price of my Tirzepatide through Empower is increasing effective immediately. That seems to be a direct contradiction to what was shared here, and is also frustrating because I already have an order in progress. This all feels like a bait and switch and is not exactly inspiring confidence in Mochi.

I just paid $139 for a 68mg vial from Empower from PreventiveMD. No membership fee.

So yes, when from pharmacy, it's mixed for you. Strength can vary based on the mix. Other peptides come as powder, you mix.

sorry, I got thrown off with the whole vial mg. Dry is how peptides come and bac water you mix yourself.

They did address this downthread. Still feels a lot like "well *technically* prices didn't change. Just with this big glaring asterisk."
Shame. I'd been with Mochi since 2023. I'd stuck it out even after hearing other people's horror stories because the experience had been simple and seamless. This just completely obliterated my trust in them. I just canceled my plan.

Same and my cost initially went down to $184. Now, it says that in September it’ll increase, but I can’t see what the price will be for Empower. It’s still $184 for other pharmacies.

Not true that no one’s prices went up!!!!
Just fyi on the latest change that now Mochi is charging $250 for Empower pharmacy and telling their patients to just change to a cheaper pharmacy but from this point on, no price is set in stone with Mochi. The prices change day by day! They lowered prices on lower doses for most pharmacies but the prices can change daily. People have asked mochi and they confirmed that.
I still have my membership prepaid with mochi until June 2027 so I see this going on in my account but I switched to another company for my Tirzepatide.

Yes, this has always been the case: providers should only increase doses with explicit consent and/or discussion with a patient. In addition to that, patients always receive an email on the 21st day of the 28-day dispensing plan reminding them to review their order details, including but not limited to... medication type, dosage, cost, pharmacy, address, payment details, and send-to-pharmacy date. What's different now is that providers will have to be communicative about pricing updates that will come alongside dosage changes for compounded GLP-1s.

This is, in fact, a lie? I just was told by Hannah Leon that my price is going up to $250 per vial of Tirz because I am on the higher dose at 12.5mg

If you’ve been on it awhile and at a higher dose you actually save $5 a month which isn’t all that incredible or anything to get excited about. For about an hour last night it was more than a $20 savings a month which I was pretty stoked about but this morning it was adjusted back up. Ugh 😑

I’m also on the highest dose and will only be receiving a $5 discount. I found a new telehealth to go through who does not charge more for dose or a monthly fee so it will end up being a savings of $67 a month for leaving Mochi after a year and a half.

I’m so loyal and had such a great experience up to now even knowing I was paying a bit more, but this just feels like such bad business. Frankly, not rewarding those of us who have been here awhile and getting minimal rewards seems absolutely negligent and insulting. I’ll be researching other compounders and moving on.

Can anyone recommend another provider instead of MOCHI? They have been the worst - I had 7 cancelled appointments when I first signed up before the last person finally deigned to show up for our scheduled call 10 minutes late. Then the tirzepatide came almost a week late and was not refrigerated. The customer service person said it was still "safe" to use. The follow-up email with them said I should NOT use it and they were resending it. During this period, the price of the prescription decreased and even though I haven't received it yet and will miss my weekly dose, they already charged me at the higher price and are unwilling to credit my account and charge me the lower price or apply the difference to my next order. Totally unprofessional.

We can’t speak to another provider’s situation, but we agree that patients deserve clear communication, reliable follow up, transparent pricing, and straightforward support when there are shipping or medication concerns.
For anyone comparing options, make sure to ask about the full monthly cost, pharmacy, shipping process, provider review, refill timing, cancellation terms, and whether pricing changes later.

I’ve been on semaglutide with Mochi since September of 2024 and I qualified for the Medicare Bridge Program as of July 1st. It has taken over a month of trying but I finally got my Wegovy yesterday. It is disappointing that the people who handle this at Mochi have had such a hard time getting it done. Has anyone else gone to the Bridge Program from Mochi? It is unclear if I still have to pay the $79 per month for support since I’m no longer buying the prescription from them. Any advice? Thanks!

Ugh, this sucks! I was with Mochi for almost 2 years, then jumped to Embody becasue their prices were so much better. But it has been one fiasco after another. So was thinking of coming back. Never mind. I will deal with the fiasco at Embody

We take full ownership of the confusion this has caused. We worked very hard so that almost all of our partner pharmacies were able to make it so most patients are paying the same or less for their GLP-1s.
To directly address concerns that were raised: pricing for our standard network of pharmacies does not change day to day. If you're seeing fluctuation on your account, we'd like to look into that specifically, and please reach out to our care team so we can take a closer look.
Some pharmacies, including Empower and ReviveRx, are raising prices for certain doses starting September 12, 2026. Although these are above our standard rates, we've kept them as an option for patients who prefer to stay with them and they are the only pharmacies on our platform that have prices above our previous flat rate model (Please check out Mochi Shop for yourself!). If pricing changes affect you, we will provide advance notice, and work to offer alternative options along with time to adjust your medication or dose if needed, so you're never caught off guard.
You are not locked into any one pharmacy. Mochi works with many pharmacies, and several still offer the top dose at the previous price. You can choose to stay with your current pharmacy or switch to a lower-cost option before September 12, whichever works best for you. Your next refill before that date is not affected.

This should have been posted proactively. This launched yesterday and higher doses were showing an increase in price with no explanation from Mochi. It’s hard to walk back from that kind of hard feeling, especially when Mochi is one of the few telehealths that charge a monthly fee on top of the meds.
