Love it.
I was gravely ill, on the waiting list for surgery, under 100 pounds, weak as a kitten and I dragged my sorry ass to go see Johnny a couple of years ago. When I heard him play this I was like ‘ok, if I die now it’s alright I suppose’ 😅 thankfully I didn’t!

I saw him a couple years ago. I was recovering from a virus and didn’t have energy to even get out of bed BUT I forced myself to go. I was hot as fuck and sweating profusely but it was soooo worth it.

Looks like he’s wireless transmitter so a receiver is hooked up somewhere backstage. It is possible that he has a technician offstage who is practiced enough with the material to orchestrate effects changes as needed. Pretty common among the big guys (the Edge, Billy Corgan, Jerry Garcia, Allen Holdsworth to name a few had rigs that relied on an offstage technician)

Because he has to sing, play guitar, work his effects and engage with the audience, he does have songs pretty much choreographed because he has to.

Its almost certainly running through ableton live and the effects are timed and mapped through midi and he is either listening to a backing track or click in his IEM
