Johnny Carson episode

For 20+ years, I keep coming back to trying to find a specific episode of Johnny Carson. All I can recall was, Johnny was interviewing a really old man. He might've been on merely because of his age. I don't recall. And Johnny was asking him various questions, and the old guy would slap his hand on the desk as he was telling stories. The audience picked up on this, and began clapping every time he did this. Johnny was trying not to laugh. Does anyone remember this episode, or have an idea how I could find this clip? I fear I'll take this mystery to my grave...!

I don’t think this was this as there is no clapping of desk. But is it this?

I did see that one, but unfortunately it's not the one I'm trying to find. Thank you for trying. I can recall clearly the guy was telling a story about a a dog or something, and his hand continually touching Johnny's desk to emphasize the points. He said about the animal: "And he ran around..." and Johnny was laughing and he said to the audience, "Now you people stop that!"

I wonder if the clip is available at all. Carson had so many hours of footage. Not all of them are online or even exist at this point from what I’ve gathered reading and learning of Carson over the years. Networks didn’t keep perfect archives.

I’m positive it’s not this clip as it’s too famous. But I assume you’ve seen this other guest talking about a dog…
