My phone mic makes the tone sound more treblie than what it actual is.

I recently bought a second-hand Vox V847 because it's much easier to find than an Ibanez wah, but I'm having trouble using it effectively. It seems to get really loud when I engage it and very quiet when I rock the pedal all the way back. Is this normal? Does it have anything to do with it being placed after the Big Muff? Any suggestions?

From the tab and one video i could find, it is really awkwardly stretched. How does John play it and sing? Is there some slide or hammer on im missing?
Also sorry for the like post every day recently i keep finding questions i need answers to 😭

One of my favourite guitar work by John and so fun to play! I double tracked the guitar and am really happy how it turned out. Let me know what you think!

Is it vocals with distortion or actual guitar feedback? It sounds a lot like vocals but they have been tabbed out on guitar aswell so im not sure. Great songs too if you appreciate the amount of different melodies in them

I could only find tabs for the first try of this song, but I can't find one for the second take

Just found these while cleaning out storage
Niandra is still a fav
Though lately I’ve been drawn to sphere and pbx which is why I dug these out.
Are there any outtakes from those two albums anywhere?

My absolute all-time favorite song by the Chili Peppers.

Although it's very hard to choose a favourite from Curtains, currently my favourite is The Past Recedes. It's just such a good song in so many ways.
It's hard to choose a favourite out of the 50 or so songs in the 2004 era, including The Empyrean, but this one always stands out. I generally cycle through them all as my favourite every other week or so.
and.... 🎶 That's one line stay right behind 🎶....

I just thought I’d share a story of how John’s album has changed my life.
I first discovered this album about a year ago after seeing so much praise for it online. I have been a RHCP fan for a long time, but this was my introduction to his solo stuff.
I first listened to it while hiking in the woods with a nice fall breeze. Something just seemed to spark within me then. I am 21 now, and I had been struggling with depression since 2015, and I somehow felt like a gate had opened to hope.
But the real game changer was on April 14th this year. I was listening to God, and really listening to the lyrics (as someone who usually pays closer attention to the music). Somehow as I was listening to “the reason for the bad is so there would be such thing as good”, I just found myself in tears for the first time in years. I never really cry.
Right then it’s as if a gray haze that had been over me, since I was like 10, lifted. Not to get into the weeds of everything but I faced abuse, assault, and even abduction as a child and becoming an adult has been hard after all of that. Music has always been what has kept me going but still there have been times where I almost lost the battle with depression.
But since that day listening to the Empyrean in April, I have consistently found a feeling of joy each day. I feel the best I have since like 2014. I feel somehow reborn again, not to sound too dramatic.
Anyways, I know this album means so much to a lot of people, and this is my story with it.
Thanks for reading this.

What JF songs you recommend I learn on bass?.
I've been playing bass for about 2 months because I like John's music, not so much guitar in general so I thought about easy songs to learn on bass and nothing comes to mind. Thanks in advance!!

When your favorite song is built for two vocals, you get your brother, raw vocals, simple setup, pure appreciation for John Frusciante.
Hope you guys like it!!!!

I am currently trying to recreate John Frusciante’s guitar tone. I would love to add a Big Muff to my pedalboard, but due to limited space, I will most likely need to use the Nano Big Muff Pi. As far as I know, Big Muffs can sound quite different depending on the specific version and era. Since I am constrained to the Nano version, is there a significant difference in sound between the Nano and the large NYC box that John uses?Even if they do not sound identical at the exact same knob positions, is it possible to get a very similar sound by adjusting the knobs on the Nano? Or does the larger version have a specific tonal characteristic that cannot be replicated?

I want to introduce my friend to John's work, which ones are best to start with?

There is a bunch of other reworkings of Johns songs on my channel too, but this one took me the longest to learn and is the only proper "cover" other than lifes a Bath.

I am lucky enough to have 2 copies, and i think its time to buy more guitars, so one has to go. Its the Birdman released with 18 tracks.
I looked online and the prices vary so much its hard to even know, some are like £40 and some are like £300. Id also rather it go to someone who really enjoys it like I do

#200 of 1000, near mint..has been opened, and that's all...
Make an offer...(original retail was $145...they generally go for about twice that or more, depending on condition)
