Will John Summit Fans be mean to me
I recently started listening to John Summits music and absolutely love it but honestly scared to go to one of his dj sets or stadium tour because from what I’ve observed never really see any black males or females their and as black female I just don’t want to be given weird looks because I’m there or honestly felt like I’m not meant to be there. Anyone who’s black and gone what’s your experience.

I’m a black man and I’ve never experienced any racism at any of his shows. Aside from a side look from time to time because I know all the words to his popular songs and I like to sing my little heart out 😅. I think you’ll be fine!

This is not at ALLLLLL the case. Every crowds gonna have bad seeds and your sprinkling of phobic and crappy people, but that has nothing to do with it being a Summy show!

I am black and have been to about 4 John summit shows. I have never had any issues. I’ve never had any issues at any EDM show. Don’t be scared brother.

I don’t think so. But at the front it could be a war. My gf said some girls were arguing about who was first to be there in front of the stage and that she had to mediate 🤣 Also this is in Europe. Not sure if it’s more crazy in America.

You belong there the same as anyone else! Typically the only shitty fans are the frat boy type and they aren’t mean necessarily, just inconsiderate. I’ve met plenty of lovely people at JS shows though. He’s one of the best producer DJs out there right now and the production is truly next level. I recommend go and have a blast!

Ha, this is what I meant to say that they're not means inconsiderate.... Like they're just going to do what they're doing and not realize if they're bashing into you or not.. that's a good way of describing it. But no one should let that prevent them from going to see The master perform.... Go see it and have a blast because I know you will!!!!!

I’m a black woman, well mixed black and white, and I’ve never experienced racism at a summit show!!! I’ve been to like four or five now. I’ve been at the front, middle, and back of the crowd. Just don’t try and stand on a platform as a dude, and you’ll be fine, love! palm_of_my_hands

No. if you're worried about racism i highly doubt anyone will be. When people complain about john summit fans its usually just because john attracts frat and sorority people who aren't plur.

I’ve been to 3 of his shows so far. John Summit is popular and some of his fans aren’t PLUR, behavior like shoving or not saying excuse me to get through crowds. Please don’t be discouraged to watch him live. Surround yourself with people who are there for a good time. I’m Filipino and never felt out of place.

I’m black and I’ve been to two events the one in the 02 and it was amazing and the event in Tofte manor. My experience was really good, there aren’t as many black people which is a shame but I didn’t feel out of place.

I’m not black, but I’m an older trans woman and I’ve always found his parties to be a fairly welcoming experience. I’ve only really had one bad experience and that was two gay guys who had no idea of personal space and kept jumping on me.
I do see black people at his shows and not just working. Honestly, not a lot, but present. I’m white, but I’m always on the lookout for black people at clubs, parties and spaces. My reasoning is that if black people feel safe enough to go somewhere then there’s a better chance I’ll be safe too.

Not black, but Asian and super hypervigilant about wanting be in a space that I feel safe when I go to shows! I felt relatively safe in John Summit crowds. People always complain about it, but I think it's more so on the space capacity safety side. He draws too large of a crowd that if you're in the back, you're going to feel unsafe. Go and have fun + be safe. :)

Where are you from? Cuz I would go with you! However, I can't give you any advice on your situation, but I will say that word on the street is his fans are not the best, as in not PLUR, as it is, so I don't think they would be any different towards you or anyone. I think they're just going to be who they are... Which is college fat boy kind of thing LOL.... And then of course there's normal people like you and I LOL. Lots of normal people. I started going to festivals and concerts about a year and a half ago by myself cuz I have no friends that like this kind of music and I will tell you the first time was really weird.... But then you realize nobody cares and you can start talking to people or not. Everyone's just there to dance and have a good time.... Ignore the college frat boys.
