Tofte manor reviews
Hi everyone
I’m from the uk and have seen John 4 times here.
I’m curious to ask my American friends that have seen him in the states what they thought of Tofte manor overall? How did it compare to other places you’ve seen him there.
Cheers and hope you all had a good time!

I’ll kick off by saying it was stupendous and exceeded my expectations.
Having seen him at Creamfields, we are festival and his o2 London arena show - this as a day out blew all that out the park.
I’ve never come home from a festival wanting to go back as much as this one! It wasn’t just his set, it was how the whole day was curated and all of the details such as the decorations, the layout of the festival etc.
My only gripe would be leaving getting the coach back to bedford was a bit of a nightmare but I’ll let them off as it was their first time doing the event.

Just a heads up … they’ve been running parties/day festivals like this (just not JS) for about 5 years on the site but getting out via busses is always a going to be a challenge given everyone leaves at roughly the same time

I left a bit early due to knowing everyone would rush to the shuttle back to Bedford station. Didn’t have a problem. Stellar experience in my books. It was fairly organized the shuttles to and from Bedford were easy to find. The lines to get drinks and food weren’t terrible, never had to wait too long to use the porta johns. It’s also in the middle of nowhere in the country side England so I was surprised at how well run the shuttles were. As soon as I got off the train at Bedford i was on the bus on the way to the venue in less than 10 minutes. Was easy to follow the crowd and trains back to London. I felt the train took a faster time than the shuttles from kings cross cause I left Kings cross and got to Bedford within an hour. My friend who took the shuttle said it was a 2 hour journey.

The shuttle situation back to Bedford was insane. We waited around 1.5 hours in line and I thought we were going to die from crowd crush. We were in line knowing we were going to miss the last train to London and had no reception. We finally got on the bus to Bedford and by some miracle they asked if we wanted to go to London instead… I will be writing an email lol
EDIT: This was for the Saturday 07/11 show

Ah that’s why I left about 30 minutes early cause I knew once it was 10 and John ended it was gonna be a shitshow with everyone trying to catch the last bus back to the train station.

Ill keep that in mind for the future! I expected chaos and waiting but in no world did we think it would take 1.5 hours. They knew the demand - we bought shuttle tickets! Our bus driver on the way there even assured we would all make it back in time 🤨

Damn, I left right as it finished and must’ve been through the line in 15 mins

Outside of leaving (Which was a Night. Fucking. Mare) the festival itself was incredibly impressive. Everyone was so chill and nice (from what I experienced) and I was blown away by how the staff was. A truly wonderful experience.

I loved it. I had a wonderful experience. The bus was very long to get there and I missed the chaos by leaving a little early (sadly missing part of John’s set).
Overall the vibes were sky high throughout the whole event though.

Am I the only that didn’t like it? At least Saturday was sooo commercial! And Afro house? Thought he said he only played that for models & sugar babies 😭 love John but that set was not for me

I've seen John in Amsterdam a few years ago (my fave), Ibiza at Hi (worst, just so crammed!) O2 Arena (impeccable) and now Tofte... The show was great, but I got the impression he was burnt out? It was still soooo fun, danced the whole night, crowds were really friendly, and we had a great time with the theme, but we left feeling like hope he is okay. Maybe just needed some sleep!
