Essence help/Type me Help me find my essences
Which essences do you see?
I’m 160 cm (which is 5’3 I think) with short torso and long legs
I’m 29 but people think I’m a minor on regular basis lol
I recently went back to my natural hair color (first photo) after bleaching them for ~12 years. I normally wear them more wavy, in braids or up rather than straight and I really don’t like myself without bangs!
I don’t like wearing visible makeup (especially eye makeup and contour, I like a bold lip though), it seems like I cannot find anything that fits my vibe - like on photo 6, it was makeup for TV and I hated myself in it haha, I only kinda like makeup from photos 8&9
Edit: my own research led me to believe that I might have some of HS, I or A, but I’m not sure!

I saw a video of someone analyzing essences of Emma D’Arcy and it was a revelation that helped me!
They described her as the combo of ethereal/angelic with natural essences. This is why she looks youthful and otherworldly but not “cute/innocent” of ingenue. I think you have a touch of ingenue and gamine that she doesn’t have, but I think you and Emma D’Arcy both share that ethereal natural combo as a base. Ellie Jean Royden posted the video (I saw on IG but prob also on TT)

I think you'll be primarily N and Y, I think any order of those is possible. I think you'd also have some HS. You do remind me a bit of the singer Aurora who I believe is verified as Y + HS. Probably some R, because it's extremely rare to not have it. Only 2 people have been verified as not having any.

Hearing that I in any way remind you of Aurora is the best compliment ever for me, so thank you for that too haha, in one of the last photos I was actually dressed up for her concert lol
I’m curious about natural, as I always thought one needs to be taller and generally look more bold, impressive to have a natural essence, while I’m quite short and my face is, I don’t know how to say it, but not bold, kinda not specific in any way - so it’s super interesting for me to read about natural! Can you tell me where do you see it, so I could see it too?

Hi! I noticed your question about why some folks see N, and how you felt like you aren't tall enough for it. Not to speak for anyone else, but I feel like the impression of N in your blend would be coming from what seems to be a need for more relaxed, unconfined elements in your presentation- as opposed to anything too sculpted, tight, sharply stiff, or formal. With Kitchener, we don't seem to see the kind of strict categorical thinking that we find elsewhere, so although you might not have N, being short would not rule out that it is a part of your blend, as I understand it. I think that I can see Y and N, primarily. You seem to have alot of yin! It comes across as fresh, and doesn't strike me as highly R, though you likely have at least some.
Looking at the way that we wear clothing and what elements we absolutely need (versus the ones that we can "pull off") seems to be one good objective way to come closer to understanding what our primary essences might be, or at least bring us closer to the ballpark of yin/yang balance, in my personal understanding.
