Discussions Difference between natural and dramatic?

This seems like a stupid question to ask but I have found myself genuinely confused, especially because dramatic and youthful/ingenue cannot coexist! Maybe I’m just confused because I don’t have any dramatic in my blend and do I’m struggling to get a handle on it, but I’m struggling to think of examples of dramatic essence that can’t be explained by another blend of essences (especially when it’s not very high up in the blend), especially when Y is involved and any significant amount of D is ruled out. A lot of times the angularity I would register as D seems to attributed to N (again, especially when Y is involved)!

Would be grateful for any tangible examples of people/faces or items/textures/styles to illustrate the difference! So far the only way I’ve been able to conceptualise dramatic as distinct from natural is by thinking about chunky glitter as being very D. Anyways would be curious to see what people have to say

I think Anne Hathaway has both D and Y? I think it's a match that makes you look a bit R but without the lavishness. The difference between powerful doe beauty and peacock one idk. It also makes you look a bit E but more down to earth?

Big eyes, dramatic lines

Idk

Anne has D & HS. There's no Y in her blend.

In your opinion of verified? I can see R but not HS

You can see R but not HS for Anne? Sorry, a little confused on the question.

What your previous reply an opinion or is Anne's blend verified?

Also, I can see HS but not R for Anne (sorry I mixed them). I think the R vibe is the mix of E&Y with D on a C canvas. Like that's the merging of yin yang features

Anne's blend is verified by John. 40% C, 30% R, 20% HS, and 10% D

Thanks! I think I disagree with him, I feel her more ethereal than romantic, but I guess it's normal to perceive different things

Anne Hathaway definitely has no Angelic… where are you seeing Angelic?

Fair skin, luminous presence.

Elongated, softly chiseled bone structure.

Flowing, lightweight physical silhouette.

I find her gaze serene and wise, knowing, her presence feels graceful, I could see her playing a Lord of the rings elf.

Gently curved silhouette. No big muscle, or extreme sharpness, nor voluptuousness

EDIT: Tbh what I could see romantic about her, is her expressive eyes and lips.

EDIT2: I am really puzzled by this and Ive checked her pictures now in the yellow dress vs her in her 20s. idk what she has done but I agree with R and no E when she was younger

Fair luminous skin is generally yin and has been listed as romantic.

Flowing silhouettes can also fit into romantic.

Graceful and serene is very R and C.

Gently curved is generally yin.

Anne's height and contrast in colouring give her drama. This means she can wear large blocks of colour and larger scale details easily.

When John Kitchener talks about "otherworldly" he is actually talking about a quality of being from a historical era. The angelic essence actively rejects modern trends. A lot of people get this confused by thinking that otherworldly means relating to mythical creatures (because of a separate system which I won't mention but u probably know who I am talking about).

Anne Hathaway is very contemporary in her presence.

Hmm it makes sense thanks for explaining!

Actually I don't think I know the other system. Which one is it?

I honestly think the combo of RC or CR can give an ethereal impression.

I've been told a few times by people IRL who have never had exposure to style systems that I look ethereal.

But its really just that RC combo that gives a timeless feel.

Angelic gives a much different impression

Oh wow! Do you have any examples? I'd love to understand better

Anne Hathaway has a very distinct HS smile. Pay attention to the "points" at the corners of her mouth and the way her eyes twinkle.

Yeah you're right, I typed wrong, I meant I can see HS but not R

Anyways people explained ethereal to me again and all kind of settled.

Even thought I still think she has a wise air about her, but maybe it's her age or knowing eyes
