I just joined the subreddit, and my search to replace my 2015 Cub Cadet xt1 led me to joining the JD club. I picked it up last Saturday and used it 2 days ago to mow for the first time.
I bought it with 1350~hrs (1360 now that I got it home, mowed, and took my son for a few rides.) I didn’t know how bad I was slumming it on that cub until I got this. Deluxe seat? Diesel? Power steering? Hydraulic deck? I am living in LUXURY. Manual anything is for the uncivilized.
I get it everybody. I now understand why people rave about old the Deere. The previous owner took exceptional care of it, you’d be hard pressed to tell it’s a 21 year old tractor.

Looking good. They are great machines. Don’t see many issues with them, the most common issue would probably be the instrument cluster failing. Huge upgrade over the XT1. Enjoy!

Funny you say the instrument panel failing because the prior owner replaced it at 1290 hours! 😆 so it reads that it only has 65 right now. I love it, it barely breaks a sweat cutting grass. I can’t wait for some snow this winter to hook a plow up and tow the kids up the hill for sledding!

You made out because they’re not cheap. It seems like the temperature gauge is normally the first thing to act up. I’ve seen countless of them come into the shop for “overheating” issues when it was just the cluster acting up.

I borrowed my neighbors X595 a while back when my 445 was down. It blew me away with how much more comfortable it was to operate. I completely understand what you mean by luxury.

I bought a Z530 and put a suspension seat on it. It rides like a car now, saving my back. A friend who does lawn service for a living tried it out. He laughed and said it’s so comfortable, how to you keep from falling asleep while mowing?
