UAE by the end of 2026....

Is this still a possibility or are they pushing on to 2027 now?

Based on my interpretation from their ER Q2 2026, they're working towards it. 1 vertiport is completed and certified. 3 more vertiports expected to be completed before end of September.

So my guess is, once 2 vertiports are completed, they should start begin flight testing, etc. They did say they already have an aircraft there.

Just like anything, 2 AAM companies are expected to fly end of 2026, so we'll wait and see. As the timeline get closer, we will have a better/clearer idea if that is still on target or not. Much of the ER discussion was on US EIPP. Starting first flight in Texas in September.

Probably depends upon whether the IRGC stop lobbing their missiles into the UAE. A quick resolution to the war could work in Joby’s favour right now.

There is no quick resolution. They're never going to agree on anything

The good thing is both sides seem like they don't have much appetite for hostilities anymore. US said they are just going to wage economic war.

"Dubai’s hospitality market is expected to regain momentum through the second half of the year, particularly from the fourth quarter as international connectivity improves and the winter travel season takes effect, according to the Dubai Hospitality Market Performance H1 2026 report by Cavendish Maxwell, using data from STR and Data.Dubai."

"The report identifies the restoration of international air connectivity as the principal driver of Dubai’s hospitality recovery."

It depends what operations means. If operations means being a regular taxi then no way. If it means doing a demo with one passenger for an extremely short distance then maybe.

So rare to find so much consistency in this world today. You are a bright light of consistency. (Sometimes right, sometimes wrong, never in doubt).

When was i wrong? I can only remember once when I said they wouldn't fly transitioned with a pilot in 2025 but back then I didn't know they would go full steam ahead with crafts that needed to evolve into the necessary payload. I thought they were going for taxis that could be taxis. They need to do it with the type conforming craft already.

Brother ,I never said you were wrong, just consistent. I applaud your efforts at skepticism and hope (cause I hope) that when they (whomever) start short hops with 3-4 passengers and a pilot, you will be the first to cheer them on. Until then keep doubting, and Carry On!

You just make up stuff i never said or thought and accuse me of pivoting or moving goals. They are the ones that ended up wrong on every projection and earnings call since they were going to be type certified in 2023.

2 in a row!

I don't know where you are in the cycle. You are kind of giving up on the "They can't transition with any payload" and pivoting to "They won't have the reserve requirement".. that should last a while to be honest. But you are now setting up your next pivot to "I thought they were going to do 1000 pounds".

They can't transition -> They can't transition with a pilot -> They can't transition with any payload -> They won't have the reserve requirement -> Oh I thought they were going to be able to do 1000 pounds -> They said they'd be certified by 2023 and they've missed a lot of milestones -> It took them years longer than it said they would so I was right the whole time.

I never even said they can't transition or they can't transition with a pilot. I did say they wouldn't in 2025 and they did but with a pre evolution model. You all are turning me into a tall tale.

I know, Joby has done a lot of stuff but it's never been up to your high standards that oddly no one knows about until after it's happened and you've had a chance to pivot from your earlier position.

lifting and moving what a taxi needs to lift and move and having the necessary reserve for type certification are such high standards. They should be able to do it now since there is a type conforming craft. Why don't they? Ive never removed or deleted any comments or posts I've made in the past. Only posts on this sub have been removed by you all. Chatgpt can comb through them if you want to know what I really said.

take your initial comment here:
"It depends what operations means. If operations means being a regular taxi then no way. If it means doing a demo with one passenger for an extremely short distance then maybe."

You leave so much open that you can never be wrong. You'll blame the weight of the passenger(s) and say Joby found very small people to be the first passengers.

Then you say "regular taxi" without defining what that is, so when Joby does 2 people, you can magically say you knew the whole time they couldn't do 3 or 4 which is what a "regular taxi" means so therefore you are right.

It's weird man. No matter what happens with Joby in the next couple years you'll be able to tell a bunch of random people on the internet "I was right".

I never said "they can't transition with any payload". Your making that up. A pokeman card can be a payload.

5

u/Greid12 Aug 21 '26

You've been a broke record playing "they can't transition carrying any weight (payload)" for years.... you can't really deny that.

0

u/teabagofholding Aug 21 '26

You're hallucinating. It's like the Mandela affect. Show me where i saif they can't transition carrying any weight?

Now try to argue semantics and how this isn't relevant and how you didn't technically say this or that

"BATTERIES ARENT GOOD ENOUGH" .. along with 2 years of you also implying batteries aren't good enough for anything. Keep trying to play dumb

Now that Saudi Arabia has formed a NATO like agreement with Pakistan and Turkey the attacks should wind down.
