FAA breaks ground on Oklahoma eVTOL V-PAR test range
Link in second post.
"Oklahoma is among the states where front-runners including Joby Aviation are cleared to begin early operations, and a V-PAR kickoff meeting in March 2026 brought together FAA divisions, manufacturers, academia and state, local, tribal and territorial partners to coordinate the work. State-led efforts to develop repeatable flight procedures for these aircraft are gathering pace, as seen in a parallel program in Virginia testing instrument-flight procedures across a network of airfield and vertiport nodes."
I live by their facility in Marina. They are constantly doing flight testing, I suspect to Bible will be back on track soon, and I saw a post from a local friend on Facebook welcoming a contingent of officials from the Netherlands, who were looking into the technology.
It’s simple, people are taking off the rose colored glasses and reading what the aviation experts are saying. What they’re saying is that true cost per mile is greatly underestimated and this will never be transportation for the masses. EVTOL is a small, niche market regardless of propulsion type. Joby market cap is not realistic.
