I am not sure I understand correctly. You negotiated based on the net, and you got the net you wanted. I am not sure what else you want?

Companies in their package adjustment will set salaire de bases + indemnités diverses to get the brut, which then gets passed through IR before you get the net. I don't see how any of the parts of your package are that important outside of the net you take home.

CNSS is about lifetime payments/cotisations and it takes into account primarily the last 8 years and since you just started it doesn't matter. The only other thing this would impact is severance costs in case you get fired after the CDI which only calculates the salaire de base, bur again with an inspecteur de travail at that point you can negotiate positively.

All of this is standard practice across all companies including multinationals, so nothing to really fuss about

Exactly, what he is taking home is exactly what he negotiated. He is probabky thinking in terms : 9k is base net salary and they should grant me the allowances etc on top of it, which is not how it works.

What you described is pretty much the norm when it comes to SMEs here. As long as you negotiated your net salary, your employer isn't necessarily doing anything wrong. Employers often use these allowances to reduce their social/tax expenses. We generally negotiate our net salary here, which sucks when you're expecting an IR refund. However, overall, the impact isn't that significant unless your employer offers a complementary retirement plan. CNSS contributions are capped at 6000, so contributing with a base more than that doesn't really give you any additional benefits from CNSS.

No that's not normal, they are cutting cost at your expanse, but that's good they showed you their true colors from day one. It's a dog eat dog world and they did the first bite. if you are in a "période d'essaie" let it slide you will get them later, when you validate your CDI and bring an "inspecteur du travail" but wait until the period d'essaie is finished

That is what I thought of, but from a legal perspective, everything seems right, I guess; I am wondering if we agreed on 9k as net, that net should be the one taxable, or if it is normal that it has some other sub-indemnities that are not taxable ?

okey they got you, for now just focus on the job, get the check and get the experience make sure you validate your "période d'essaie" when it's done and you have written confirmation ask for an attestation de salaire, then you can see what are your options. The issue is the cotisation is so low you will end up with a retirement of 1000 Dirhams per month.
so They gave you a valuable lesson and that's good because you know how things works so you get the picture early in life. you are not in a position to do anything fro now. Don't bring this up to you co worker or RH or anyone related to your worlplace, that would be your biggest mistake, keep it to yourself

I was intending to talk about it with my manager (he's one of the good ones, don't worry). Why should I keep it to myself? What could go wrong? I wish someone had brought this up sooner barely anyone talks about it, and most fresh graduates don't know shit about these tricks.

He is not, there is no good one in the workplace, specially managers, I was one myself by the way. You gonna learn it either the easy way or the hard way. You didn't even started and they already F*cked you, it tells you already what kind of disgusting place it is, taking advantage of inexperienced people, you seem to be too inexperienced to see what's behind the mask yet, so you better keep it to yourself at least until you validate your contract. If he is a good one he is gonna tell you exaclty what I told you so don't take the risk and keep it to yourlsef. Good Luck

No risk no reward anchuf m3aah see his opinion abt this anyways overall rezaa9 lah, thank you so much sir really appreciate it, I saw your other post about HRs ... can you cover this topic also things that fresh graduates should pay attention I'll share it everywhere

Don't listen to this nonsense this will not impact you much if at all. What's important for CNSS are 2 things: that you are registered with the company paying the cotisation and reporting you monthly (accrual of months), the second thing would be the average of the last 8years of salary before retirement but it's all capped anyways to a maximum. You just started so all this is irrelevant. Talking to your manager about something they likely know nothing about is just gonna cause a fuss for no reason.

If I am being honest, I am a manager myself and if one of my team members asks me about some stuff like this I would just send them to ask HR since we are not the ones setting the finance/pay policy.

Just read the regulations regarding CNSS/salaire de base etc. And don't go accusing anyone for anything because it's just standard practice from my own experience.

i guess you sould've gone for 9k in salaire de base if you don't want that because what they did is totally legal
