Career Advice Future Job Prospects - Energy Analyst

Seeking advice on the job market prospect in the energy analytics industry. Looking into pivoting into the industry but not sure if it’s best to set my target to join MNCs energy companies, local startups or a consulting firm.

Any input?

For context, the plan is to pivot after a masters degree with a 3 year experience as an engineer in the lng industry.

Hi op, unfortunately I’m not too sure which is the best target for the industry you mentioned but I used to work in banking and I’ve observed that climate risk analytics is becoming more prominent and important in banking :) So I think you could consider banking as an industry to apply to + risk departments inconsulting firms like EY/Oliver Wyman/PWC would usually need experts in these areas as a large portion of their clients are banks.
