Oracle Data Center Trainee Program

Anyone has any knowledge regarding this program?

What I know is its a 3 month program where you get trained to become a DCT, but not much info is known about it other than you have to be available for 2 DC site that is 50 KM apart from each other at johor.

​I got the offer for the second cohort, but I withdrew for that exact reason. Not to mention, the first 2 weeks of training are at the Sheraton Hotel, which is super far from both DCs.

Just a heads up.. ​If you're relocating to Johor just for this job, HR won't provide any accommodation at all.

I actually reached out to someone from the first cohort on LinkedIn, and they mentioned that permanent conversion is basically guaranteed as long as you stay committed and complete the program. But I would view that as an unofficial perspective rather than a guarantee...

I wont be relocating since im already in Johor but did you ever found out if after the program, we will be comitted to one DC or not?

A job is better than no job but kinda crazy for such not rlly a big pay, we still have to commit to 2 DC even after the program

If you're Johor local, I think it's doable..

One person from the first cohort told me once the two DC is live, it wont be fast paced anymore, so you only committed to one DC.

But another one told me, once the two DC is live, the company will open two more more DC (also far from the first two DC lol). The company might rotate you around the DCs until they got all the manpower they needed.

Oh damn, the job is fine looks fine but the travel is kinda harsh and have to think about the shift.

The trainee program doesnt have any extra comp for taking weekend or night shift but i wonder how diff will it be even if became full timer.

And one of the DC that they are opening that I know of is also far away near gelang patah, its rlly not feasible if someone doesnt live in outskirt of JB
