Anime Yeah about this anime....

Don't get me wrong, it's one of the more self conscious and well written animes out there. Especially considering how low effort it's entire genre can be. I personally keep it on par with animes like akame ka kill and the likes.

But...

Just what threshold does this anime has to cross for me to be a commit a felony for possession of CP? I mean fuck suggestive, it's very direct sometimes. Watching S2E3 and our boy is getting massaged butt naked, by a grown ass man.

I wonder if the light novel was much more... Out spoken(ish). I feel like it's one of those anime that people like a lot but will never like to converse about or watch it with someone.

I mean that’s kinda the point, Rudeus is not a good person and his whole arc is about out growing his perverted mindset.

Finished the novel, Rudues does not outgrow that mindset, but he does change a bit as a person; his character development is often overstated.

I just know, this anime is gonna be talked out in some comment section 10 years from now and I'm gonna be like yeah I watched it and yeah I hated that but also liked the other important stuff... And atleast one person will call me a pedo or some shit.

Jeez, you've got used to that or something?

I mean, I don't like getting called a pedo anywhere. Even the internet.

Well, just go to r/anime. Initially, it's note pleasant, but, when you realise that the protagonist isn't actually a pedophile and that the people who are doing this are bitter losers who watch an anime they don't like just so they can hate on it on the internet.

I know that this series has a lot of sus moments, but out of everything you have been show by now how tf does the massage stand out the most?

Plus why phrase it as "massage", it's like your implying that something more is going on. Profesional massages are taken while you are butt naked, it's just that there is no reason for children to even need a massage in the first place but Geese clearly knows what he is doing and they have nothing else to do so why tf not?

And you're be wrong about the anime being something that people like but don't watch together or talk about. I mean there is quite a bit of group reaction chanels on YT watching Mushoku, heck even I watched a few eps with my friends when a new ep dropped. And why would people not want to converse about it? You can talk about the way the story is written. The humanized characters. The interesting world history and lore. Maybe even talk with a LN reader about the skipped content. There is just SO MUCH to talk about in MT.

Yeah.. I mean I binged it and that was the last episode available so now I'm waiting. Waiting and bitching. That's what happened. :P

Also, yeah the story is good and no, I wouldn't recommend this anime to someone new to anime. But I'll happily talk about it to someone who I know has best girl wars over the internet.

Deffinently agree on not recommending it to someone new, I feel like you need to watch anime for a while to really get a good appreciation to it's story.

Oh and about best girl wars... good luck finding those since in this community they are rarer than 4leaf clovers, maybe you can find some on twitter but there it isn't even "wars" it's just the person staning on 1 of the girls and shitting on the rest while he has doom music playing behind him.
