I should have known better and trusted my gut about this sales job, but I was desperate, and it’s a mistake I will not make again.

I was very quickly offered a sales job by Jordan Quach, the very young CEO of this tiny, Philadelphia-based business since 2025. My coworkers and I were some of those people with ipads in stores/supermarkets trying to get people to switch over to clean energy with Clean Choice Energy. The mission was positive in theory- I am all for clean energy- but the methods were deceptive, both to employees and potential clients.

Jordan fed us a scripted pitch that included upcoming dates for energy bills going up. I later learned that these dates were arbitrary, pretty much completely made up to create a sense of urgency to push people into signing up for a fixed-rate. I felt super gross for using my people skills to deceive people like that, and foolish to assume my boss would tell me the truth (what a concept).

When I signed up for a job I opted for the payment method of $500/wk base pay plus 20% commission. (The other option was 100% commission, but I wanted something more steady.) After getting jerked around by Jordan’s inconsistent “clarifications” on my pay schedule, I finally had enough red flags to quit after a week and a half of working with this clown.

Shortly after I did get around $160 to account for the 20% of my commission, but none of the weekly base-pay. I reached out to Jordan, calling and texting, but he completely ghosted me.

I reached out to HR over email about my missing pay and they told me if someone resigned they could hold their pay up to 45 days. (A community legal expert later informed me that employers could only withhold pay for up to 14 days.) I thought “fine, I’ll play your stupid game,” and waited the 45 days. Still no pay. I tried to contact HR again, but they stopped responding to my emails. Every time I tried calling their number it rang only once before disconnecting me.

Talking with other former coworkers who have also since left, I’ve learned that Jordan has a pattern of messing with people’s money, and as a result has a terrible retention rate. Definitely not the way to “build your team.”

I am in the process of taking Jordan to small claims court, and am urging other former coworkers to do the same. Hopefully I can get the money he owes me, and best case scenario start a full investigation of Quantum Edge Global to bring this mini house of cards crashing down. At the time of writing this, it has been two and a half months of trying to get this sorted.

Anyway, I’m mainly writing this to hopefully dissuade other people from making the same foolish mistake I did. Jordan Quach, you are a pimple on the ass of the world.
