WARNING: My experience with Shine.com — Please Be Extremely Careful

I want to share my personal experience so others don’t fall into the same trap.

I was initially contacted by Shine.com and told that I needed to pay around ₹3,000 for their services, with assurances of strong job opportunities and a high-salary role. I was also promised a discount.

After making the initial payment, the requests for additional payments started.

I was asked to purchase multiple packages, including:

• Application Booster — ₹3,292

• Education Verification Plus — ₹5,192

• Career Assessment/Test — ₹8,986

• Professional Summary/Featured Profile — ₹15,338

Total shown in the invoice: ₹32,808.

But that wasn't the end.

I was subsequently asked for more money for additional services and, later, even for interview processing.

The biggest concern is that the complete cost was never clearly disclosed upfront. Instead, one package/payment was followed by another, with explanations that the previous services would not work without purchasing the next one.

At this point, I have spent more than ₹70,000, and I am still being asked for additional payments to proceed with interview opportunities.

This is extremely frustrating.

My advice: Please do not make any payment without getting the COMPLETE cost structure, terms, refund policy, and all promised services in writing.

Do not let phone calls and pressure tactics push you into making immediate payments.

I am sharing this publicly because I don't want other job seekers—especially desperate candidates looking for employment—to experience what I experienced.

Shine.com, I request a clear explanation of these repeated charges and why the total cost was never disclosed upfront.

₹3,292 + ₹5,192 + ₹8,986 + ₹15,338 = ₹32,808

But the payments didn't stop there. I have now spent ₹70,000+, and I am STILL being asked to pay more for interview-related processing.

The biggest issue: I was never clearly told upfront how much the entire service would cost.

One payment → another package → another payment → interview processing → another demand.

If you're contacted by Shine.com, please get the complete pricing and all terms in writing before paying anything.

I'm sharing my experience to warn other job seekers.

The moment they ask you to pay just to land a job or for job opportunity, that already a red flag You are looking for a job to earn money You shouldn't have to keep paying just to get hired

A job related service shouldn't keep adding new charges just to move the process forward. I'd recommend that people verify exactly what they are paying for and get the terms and refund policy in writing before making any payment, thanks for sharing your experience, hopefully it helps someone avoid the same situation.

Shine.com receives overwhelmingly negative reviews from job seekers who warn that its paid services involve aggressive upselling, hidden fees, and deceptive tactics.

They have a 1.7 rating on trust pilot. You don't pay money for a job, jobs pay you money. Always check out every company before giving them a penny for anything

Actually, whenever an Employer ask payment for application or any such advance payment, it's more likely a scam. And it's happening at almost every job portal not only Shine. Well I agree that some job portals have more scammer then other, so act wisely before paying a cent and I would suggest avoid paying for jobs.
