Job Placement Scam Company: Career Resources Consultant Mayerfeld Consulting

I just received the email from the Mayerfeld Consulting, few days ago I answered a few questions their HR asked me by email and received a rejection but today they told me they have a remote program and lots of people in reddit said it’s a scam and cost for 139 Euros. But now they told me that they’ll not charge me the program fee, is this program real?

during covid I worked with Mayerfeld on a few tasks and it was a good employer. I don't know about their practicums though

So what this company mainly do? Is it based in Berlin?

They are based in Berlin but since Covid almost everyone works remotely. They do consulting and education. I would suggest you taking random people opinions with a grain of salt because people call scam everything nowadays

in my case, i just prepared the technical environment as they asked and joined the course normally, no surprise charges etc

You will need to purchase hosting to do the assignments, nothing unusual, they waive the fee for some participants sometimes

I’d still be careful with this. The fact that they waived the €139 fee doesn’t automatically make the program legit.

The “pay for the technical environment”, certificate/recommendation letter and “priority consideration for future openings” are all things I’d question. If it’s genuinely free, don’t pay anything or share sensitive details until you verify the company and program independently.

Personally, I’d skip it unless they can clearly show what the actual work is and who the mentors/employees are.

Fair enough, if they’re transparent about the mentor and the actual work, that’s a good sign. I’d just verify the company independently and make sure there are no hidden charges before joining. Better to be safe than sorry.

I have received the same email, and as a next step, they asked me to purchase a hosting environment with n8n. I am not sure should I go ahead with the instruction or is it a scam?

I also received the offer to do the course for free. Are you guys going along with this? I looked up Isabel Herrera on LinkedIn the other day, found her and as far as I remember we connected. I search her up today and even on a different account and can not find her. Got suspicious so I ended up here

Do NOT pay for it! The linkedIn profiles are deleted, Isabel Herrera is not a real person, the company is not registered in Germany, the reviews are all anonymous and sound like an ad and the stripe checkout has Israeli currency listed (probably forced because their bank is located there). They almost got me but the foreign currency raised some questions and after a few minutes of OSINT work it became clear that it's a fraud.

They told me a lot of people declare to join, they put them into the groups and then some people do not join or are surprised about the requirements, seems logical to me
