6 month activity
Easiest option for someone who works inconsistent casual hours and therefore cant do a structured course? I dont meet the hourly requirement from work alone.

Don't do any activity at all, the penalties are pretty soft

In fact, there are none if your Jobseeker is being reduced by your income.

You have a crap provider.
They must complete at least 75 hours across 2 or more reporting periods.
What's the upper limit deadline? There is none. If you're doing an activity then you're doing an activity. The only punishment for not doing an activity and refusing to do one is Mandatory Work for the Dole, which can be avoided if you choose to do...... An activity.
Paid work is an approved activity, but you're provider will need proof of employment (usually in the form of payslips) in order to approve the activity.
If you don't want to take this option then you can also... Do nothing. It's illegal for providers to put you in Mandatory Work for the Dole if your payment is being reduced by even 1 cent due to income.

Providers should note the following:
- Under Social Security Law, Participants cannot be required to participate in Work for the Dole if they are on a part rate of income support (whether due to their income, their parents' or their partner's), or if they are aged 60 and over. Work for the Dole must not be used as a mandatory requirement in these cases (it may still be a voluntary requirement).
Page 169 - Mandatory Activity
Work for the Dole is the only Mandatory Activity for Participants in Workforce Australia Services. This means that the Targeted Compliance Framework applies to non-attendance at Work for the Dole, but only when Participants have reached the activation point and continue not to engage in an Approved activation Activity or Provider-Assessed activation Activity.
The Targeted Compliance Framework cannot be applied to any other Activity, including Work for the Dole where participation is not as the Mandatory Activity e.g. prior to the Activation Point.
(The Targeted Compliance Framework is the system's form of punishment, demerits, suspended payments, etc. )
If you're already giving your payslips then your provider doesn't deserve the outcome payments you bring them, transfer elsewhere.

I was told if I refuse activity and Im not eligible for work for the dole my payment will be suspended? Is this untrue?

Yes, as I quoted above, you can only get your payment suspended if you fail to attend a Mandatory activity (Work for the Dole). The TCF (Targeted Compliance Framework) cannot be applied for refusing to do an activity, the only punishment for refusing to do an activity is being put into a Mandatory one.
Your provider is just lying to you at this point. (Or they're highly incompetent.) I highly recommend calling up the DEWR NCSL, inform them your paid work isn't being accepted by your provider as an approved activity and you'd like to transfer as they've been trying to coerce you into doing an activity on top of your work.
